   My wife and I were in town for a concert and decided to kick things off with dinner at Shiraz Kitchen. Let me tell you—this place delivered! We had a 5 PM reservation, so we basically had the place to ourselves… felt like VIPs minus the paparazzi. The vibe? Totally chill. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the service struck that perfect balance of laid-back but still super attentive. It was like they had waiter Spidey-senses, showing up right when you needed them, but never hovering awkwardly. We started with the yogurt and shallot dip, which was a creamy, tangy dream—especially paired with their warm, pillowy pita bread. If carbs are wrong, we don’t wanna be right. The house pickles? Absolute flavor ninjas. They popped in, cleansed our palates, and got out, all stealth-like. For our mains, we went with the Atlantic Salmon and a kabob combo plate: Saffron Chicken and Ground Beef Koobideh. The salmon? Perfection. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside—the kind of fish that makes you forget you ever doubted seafood in a landlocked city. If they sold crispy salmon skin as a side dish, I’d be first in line. Take my money, Shiraz! The kabobs were solid, with the Ground Beef Koobideh stealing the show. Juicy, flavorful, and basically saying, “Yes, I am the star of this plate.” We didn’t save room for dessert (rookie mistake, I know), but that just gives us an excuse to come back. And we will be back. Next time, we're pacing ourselves and going all in—dessert included.

   Food was just okay. Not as flavorful as expected. Restaurant was lovely. Ambiance great. Service great.

   The falafel was very dry, could have been moister, we should have asked for cucumber slices instead of pita bread. The pita bread for the 3 dips were not warm. The Chicken Sultani with beef kebob and chicken kebob were both dry - needed more moisture and sauce. Atmosphere is lovely, attentive staff. A few tweaks and I would have given them 5 stars.

   Have been here many times, but yesterday was our first visit in over a year. The food was fantastic! We had several small plates. All excellent. Some tasty drinks as well, and there was live music! A singer and piano accompaniment, but light (did not drown out conversation). I highly recommend.
