This place is super cool you walk into the kitchen they bring you to a beautiful room that you rly aren’t expecting and the food is so fresh and amazing

We've had takeaway from shinka several times before, so we were excited to find out they now have a sit-down restaurant, and just 10 minutes from our house. It's in an industrial location, but as soon as you enter through their kitchen there is a beautiful back dining room, entirely isolated from the noise outside. I suspect they will have a bar in the future (a bar is situated at the back of the restaurant), however, it was not stocked and, consequently, they were not serving drinks during our visit. Everything we had was amazing. We ordered two rolls each, along with three different orders of sashimi, and it was more than enough food, even for my 16-year-old who can really pack away the sushi. It's important to note that the prices are inclusive of an 18% gratuity, so your bill at the end will only have tax added. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive, we will definitely be back, especially considering the short trip we had to make to get there.

Excellent sushis as usual, great variety and always beautifully served. Best quality and most refined sushi restaurant in Ottawa. Great atmosphere and service. Servers and staff are always very welcoming, I strongly recommend Shinka Sushi Bar to all sushi lovers.

Shinka is simply the best restaurant for sushi in Ottawa. We left ourselves in the hands of the chef to “surprise us” with the Omakase options and they were spectacular! Don’t let the warehouse location scare you away because the dining area is intimate and well appointed with beautiful, chunky walnut tables. The service was amazing. The restaurant has yet to receive an alcohol license but this gave us a chance to sample the green tea. The stress of tipping has been removed with a service charge built in to the tab. First time that I experienced this in Ottawa and I am a fan. I will definitely dine here again!!
