A modern American restaurant in Navy Yard where Executive Chef Reid Shilling serves his take on seasonal cuisine highlighting ingredients from around the Chesapeake region. Experiences include a 7-course tasting menu (served exclusively at the Chef's Counter), a 3-course prix fixe menu, an a la carte menu, and a weekend brunch menu.

The 7-course tasting menu is seasonally driven and changes regularly offering guests a front-row seat to the open kitchen. Enjoy an expansive offering of Chef Reid Shilling’s regularly changing culinary creations and seasonally-inspired dishes, all prepared with a hyper-local approach to sourcing. This experience is the only menu served at the Chef’s Counter and may be previewed on our website.

I decided to treat myself to the 7 Course Tasting Menu and was not disappointed. My friend and I loved every aspect of the experience. We learned so much about the food and the farns that source the restaurant.

Poor service really took away from a decent meal. Server was not attentive, brought wrong drinks and was visibly annoyed that I pointed it out. Just had a vibe of not wanting to be there.

Excellent service and the food was incredible. They seated another group right next to us when the restaurant was wide open, which was a little strange, but definitely will be dining here again.

Wonderful NYE dinner! Food was delicious and Jonathan was super knowledgeable, personable and attentive. Definitely recommend!

The food and service were impeccable. The management was very on top of things. We had the French Onion Soup, Chicken Ballantine, and Lamb. The cocktails were tasty as well!!

This is likely the 10th or so time we’ve been to Shilling and the entire there is amazing. Amazing service, amazing food, amazing knowledge of the menu…all being served up by the friendliest and most professional staffs I’ve encountered in Washington, DC! I wish the Shilling team continued success, more growth in 2024, and a restful holiday season as you’ve all earned it!
