Having always been at the heart of Valley life, the 17th century Shibden Mill Inn was originally a corn and spinning mill, before being converted into a country pub in 1890.

Today’s visitors are welcomed with warm hospitality to enjoy first class dining against an inviting backdrop of open fires, low beamed ceilings and a cosy bar. Eleven individually styled bedrooms make comfortable and luxurious retreats, epitomising boutique country style and featuring lots of thoughtful touches.

And if you can drag yourself away from the Inn, there are wonderful walks from the doorstep and world class attractions within easy reach. For a spot of retail therapy or a cultural fix, Halifax is a 10-minute drive and Leeds is just 30 minutes away.

Could not fault any aspect. It is rare to find somewhere which ticks all the boxes but this is place that does. Highly recommended

The ambience the choice of beers and food was excellent. Service was exceptional. I would recommend fabric napkins rather than paper ones just to keep the level of presentation at a high level.

We once again have had the most amazing evening at the Shibden Mill Inn. We were celebrating my partners Birthday. The whole experience is faultless. The food is outstanding - flavours, presentation - Wow !! Service is perfect. Surroundings just wonderful. Thank you. x

Expensive Sunday Lunch for mediocre food. Venue very pleasant and service good. For the price I would have expected something special, it wasn't.

Fabulous setting. Service was excellent- friendly and efficient. Starters and deserts were beautiful. Sunday roasts were fine, but the beef was fattier and less pink than we would have liked. Yorkshire puddings were great. Vegetables were OK and well cooked but limited range. £35 a head for the Sunday lunch menu was good value but we would have paid a little more for better beef. We all said we would go again and hope that the chef is less keen on over salting next time.
