Set in the idyllic beachside town of Lennox Head in Northern New South Wales, Shelter is your home away from home, whether you are just passing through or you’re part of the local community. With the community in mind, we endeavor to use ethically sustainable, seasonal products sourced from local producers and suppliers. We are also keen on cultivating and creating awareness of the importance of supporting local growers while educating people about the food they consume as well as where it’s from and how it’s produced. We offer a full service venue from a picturesque beachside ceremony location (across the road), cocktail outdoor area and indoor restaurant with windows folding right back to bring the outdoors in. Our in-house co-ordinator will make preparation for and the running of your day a breeze as we include liaising with the chefs and suppliers, run sheet and coordination on the day. ACCOMMODATION - CUPOLA Recently and tastefully renovated, highlighting the sun from the moment it rises until the stars come out at night, this little nest above our restaurant is the perfect place to stay after your celebrations. We loved shelters whole menu, everything flowed nicely on our palate. We can’t wait to come back to try the whole menu. i recommend the porter house , the pork neck & sashimi. Highly recommend Cocktails were superb also.

Quite loud and it was hard to hear my friends. The staff were amazing and the food was beautiful.

Outstanding! We sat at the counter and watched the moon rise. Food was excellent, service was fantastic! Was quite noisy but a great atmosphere! We’ll be back!

Outstanding restaurant. Great location right by the beach. Friendly service. Beautiful food. Reasonably priced. Decent wine list too.

An enjoyable lunch today at Shelter in Lennox Head. Thank you for the care and attention of delightful staff. Shelter has a menu to suit a variety of tastes with a great wine list. I had the braised pork neck which was perfectly tender served with broccolini and a very tasty sauce. The octopus was another stand out with many more dishes to try next time. Everything was light with just a touch of heat. A great place for breakfast lunch or dinner for both locals and visitors.

My new favourite dining destination! Amazing food, service and wines. Thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu over 2.5 hours. Vegan very well catered for .. vegan fine dining at its best. Could not fault a thing 🏆

Location amazing. Service started off well but no one poured our wine or cleared a beer glass that sat on the table for whole meal. Slow in general for clearing dishes and not even busy. Food was tasty apart from the ramen which at $40 failed to impress. Wouldn’t rush back but if they sorted a few things could be really good.
