Set in the idyllic beachside town of Lennox Head in Northern New South Wales, Shelter is your home away from home, whether you are just passing through or you’re part of the local community. With the community in mind, we endeavor to use ethically sustainable, seasonal products sourced from local producers and suppliers. We are also keen on cultivating and creating awareness of the importance of supporting local growers while educating people about the food they consume as well as where it’s from and how it’s produced.     Welcome back for another round of wine tasting! After a short break Shelter Lennox is back with another wine night hosted by Cara. Help us celebrate daylight savings by joining us before sunset on Friday 18th October at 5.30pm for guided wine tasting, cheese platters and nibbles, all for $65pp. Taste and learn about 6 different wines with your friends in this exclusive social dining event. Please arrive by 5.30 as the first tasting will begin at 5.45pm. Feel free to stay on for more food and drinks, the event will finish at 7.30pm. $65pp is payable at end of event. See ya there!

    The price for two people and three drinks totaled $250: and some dishes were undercooked and not able to be eaten. Needed to get more food on way home to satisfy the hunger. Not worth one weeks shopping money for one meal. If you like sauces and cover up juices then you get that. Actual food? Very underwhelming. Not returning

    Staff are friendly and efficient. Food was really delicious & well presented. There was a really noisy group next to us which made it difficult to hold a conversation, but venue can’t do anything about that

    Shelter is like a beachside shack anywhere in the world without your barefeet touching the sand. If you like the idea of wistfully staring out to sea whilst sampling innovative food delicately prepared this is the place. Service is unobtrusive and seamless. Feed your soul with a slow lunch here soon.

    What an amazing night. Originally our table was inside but it was so very noisey and hot, we could not hold a conversation at all. We asked the waitress if there was any chance of moving outside and they couldn't have been more helpful, keeping us updated on things until eventually we had an outside table. The quality and flavour of the food was out of this world, everything cooked to perfection. The service was friendly, attentive but not overbearing or rushed. Definitely recommend Shelter

    An excellent restaurant that is well worth supporting. The effort invested in the cooking is impressive, and the service is impressive. The ambience on a sunny day is outstanding. Generally, though, prices have become a bit steep over recent years, so using this restaurant as the "go to" establishment will become a bit less likely.
