Set in the idyllic beachside town of Lennox Head in Northern New South Wales, Shelter is your home away from home, whether you are just passing through or you’re part of the local community. With the community in mind, we endeavor to use ethically sustainable, seasonal products sourced from local producers and suppliers. We are also keen on cultivating and creating awareness of the importance of supporting local growers while educating people about the food they consume as well as where it’s from and how it’s produced. We offer a full service venue from a picturesque beachside ceremony location (across the road), cocktail outdoor area and indoor restaurant with windows folding right back to bring the outdoors in. Our in-house co-ordinator will make preparation for and the running of your day a breeze as we include liaising with the chefs and suppliers, run sheet and coordination on the day. ACCOMMODATION - CUPOLA Recently and tastefully renovated, highlighting the sun from the moment it rises until the stars come out at night, this little nest above our restaurant is the perfect place to stay after your celebrations. Really good food - beautiful balance of flavours. We had the chef tasting menu- every dish was perfect. Yes, it is pricey but definitely worth it. Fantastic service as well thank you.

Surprise package in Lennox Head although they have been here some years. Right opposite beach, open plan and sea breezes. Very popular. Would have liked a few more main options. But everything we ordered from entrees to fish curry main and salads were terrific + nice wine. Definitely a good place for lunch (and probably dinner)!

Best place in Lennox! Cannot recommend the breakfast or Sunday steak night enough. Delicious!

Great Sunday afternoon treat. Grilled Octopus, Steak and Frites with salad greens paired the delicious bubbly and professional friendly staff. Life is good. Thankyou Team Shelter. 😊

Just when you think they cant top their last meal, they do. The fish was amazing & the poached apricot dessert sublime Cant wait for next time

Noisy- low ceilings and hard surfaces. Overpriced. Not up to the standard of other restaurants in the Northern Rivers that charge similar or lower prices. Restricted mains list.
