Shell Shack is a well-known seafood restaurant and bar in Plano, Texas. Established in 2015, this restaurant has a casual and inviting ambiance. The large and trendy dining room is decorated with both table and booth seats, an oversized bar, a variety of lighting styles and numerous big screen TVs. The seafood boil seasoning was extremely too salty. The taste was ok. Our server was attentive and helpful but the system went down by the end of our dinner and we had to wait around 20 to 30 minutes to pay our bill. Overall it was just an ok experience.

Food seasoning was very bland, and for the price, there are better value places around. Also, the birthday songs get to be a bit tiresome after a while.

I made a reservation for 3 pm on Mothers Day to find when I got there it wasn’t honored. The hostess made me and my kids wait 45-50. The hostess took my information and said she would call when they are ready to seat us us but we never received a call. Come to find out she wrote it down wrong. Watch several people get a table before us although they came after us. The seafood boil bag was a little skimpy with only 3 sliced sausages in it. The waitress was amazing and very attentive so she made up for all the foolery coming in.

We were there to celebrate a birthday. The service was mediocre. The tables were unstable/wobbly. The food was not good. The spinach dip barely had spinach. The crab tots barely had any crab. The crab legs were old. They tasted weird…like maybe they had them too long. This place is supposedly under new management and the menu had changed a bit. It seems as though the quality of food has changed as well. Everything was different…even down to the fried catfish. We won’t be returning.

Eating our selections outside on a perfect day was wonderful. Our food and service was outstanding. We will be back!

We took our grandkids for the grandson's 10th birthday. He powered down the MVP platter and our 7 year old granddaughter did the same on a lb. of the snow crab. We had a great server and all enjoyed our meals. I had the dungeness crab.....great. Go and enjoy a good meal and a good time.
