The portion size was small and main course was average. Dessert was the highlight amd somewhat made up for mains. Overall, it was good but wouldn't go back

We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and chose Shearsby Bath as we were married there 13 years ago. Service was excellent, all staff were very friendly and the sunday lunch and dessert were exceptional.

Lovely setting with the pianist playing whilst having Sunday lunch. Two comments: 1. Served a coffee that was stone cold. Coffee spilt in saucer and although offered another it was clear that needed one and was not even slightly warm. 2. Before moaned at, I have children, but the trend of people letting their children watch phones / tablets with the sound on does spoil things. Why should everyone have to put up with it, especially when there is a pianist playing. Disrespectful to him and everyone else in the room.

Hi Darren, Thank you very much for your review. I am very sorry to hear about the coffee which was served cold, and had also spilt in the saucer. I will make a point of discussing this with our staff on our next Sunday lunch service, as I was disappointed and surprised to hear this, as our staff pride themselves on quality service at all times. I am also sorry about the children having electronic devices, as we welcome all ages, sadly this isn't something we can control, but do understand the frustration. I hope other than these two issues, you had a wonderful time at our venue, and hope we have the pleasure of welcoming you back again to Shearsby Bath.

We ate here on Sunday and had such a lovely evening thank you! We got married here over 2 years ago and it was so lovely to be back! As we walked in there was a pianist playing which I LOVED! We both had roast beef which was one of the best Sunday roasts we’ve had in Leicester. The sticky toffee pudding wasn’t anything to shout about but overall a lovely experience. Will definitely be back! Such a beautiful place ❤️❤️

Nice place. Good food and service but far too many young children and babies making too much noise for me. Shame as I like it there.

Lovely venue, great food. Service is good but still work in progress. Piano is nice but to load, makes talking hard, especially with older members of the group. Menus were very hard to read with the small print and low lighting, again hard for older members of the group. Would be nice if there was somewhere to leave coats rather than having them on the backs of chairs. Will go again as overall very good, but a few improvements would make it a great venue.
