Sharkbait & Swim is an independent seafood centric small plates restaurant based in the heart of Deptford, walking distance from Greenwich! Our restaurant ethos is simple: to serve great quality food and drink in a relaxed and intimate environment. The menu is created with locality, seasonality and sustainability at the forefront and we work closely with our fishmonger to ensure that all of our fish is sustainably sourced where possible from British waters.

Steve (aka, Cockney Chef!) has spent years cooking in award winning seafood restaurants on the south east coast and has worked in multiple Michelin star restaurants across Europe! Inspired by his career and travels around the world, Steve will be bringing a menu full of big punchy flavours to tantalize your taste buds with influence from Asian and European food culture.

Fresh and delicious seafood (everything was amazing but the juiciest, fattest mackerel skewers were particularly good); friendly, affable service; and good value for money make for one of the best restaurants in London right now

Fantastic team, very good at what they individually do. Music was 10/10. Portions and quality are more than value for money. Coming back to try the rest of the menu!

Friendly and relaxed local serving some great tasting and imaginative dishes. Ate here last night, sat outside and had a great evening. I’m really looking forward to going back again soon

Good ingredients and good value. Slow to get served when busy. Some dishes not all are a bit too salty. Fried cauliflower was just enough. The beef was very very salty. A bit tight on place but this is what is quaint about it. We like the options and the amount of food. Just a bit slow overall on cooking and service time. Maybe because not much space. Wanted to suggest a small salad would be a good addition to the really salty saucy dishes like the dressed beef.

One of the best meals we had in a long time! Short and sweet menu full of excellent flavours. The whitebait and ceviche were outstanding. Friendly service, good vibe and down to earth chef cooking right next to you. The only minor criticism is that there are no desserts on the menu - it would be great to finish the meal with something sweet. We'll be back for sure.

Fantastic food!! All freshly cooked. We had the sea bass, panko cauliflower and garlic prawns. Cannot wait to come back and have them all again!! Lovely service as well.
