Reflecting the charm of its surrounding neighborhood, Shangri-la is a distinctive space in Fair Oaks that serves seasonal, contemporary American fare, along with handcrafted cocktails in a unique setting.

With modernist architectural design, fire pits and classic cocktails from an indoor/outdoor bar, Shangri-la is a full-service restaurant and private events venue that feels like a Palm Springs resort. We have two beautiful indoor dining rooms as well as a 6,500 sq. foot patio featuring bocce ball (adults only) and corn hole (all ages) and full-service seating inside and outside. (Voted Best patio and Best restaurant by Sac Magazine). Well behaved pups are also welcome on our patio when weather permits.

Our waitress was quick to respond to our needs and very upbeat and pleasant! Everyone was pleased with what they ordered and felt satisfied when finished. I highly recommend.

This was our second visit to Shan Gri La and we had a fantastic time. The food was great, we love the atmosphere and the service was attentive. Will be again in the future!

Service was stellar! Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Food and drink were both excellent, particularly the grilled cheese sandwich. Great place with a fun, inviting vibe.

2nd time and excellent again. Can’t wait to go back again. This is a solid consistent place for a great night out. Food is outstanding with great drinks.

The ambiance was very relaxing with cute decorations. The food menu did not have as many options as I expected and the service was very slow. There seemed to be only one waiter and more bussers because we waited a long time for everything else but it only took them less than 10 minutes to come and clean our table when we just got up to go enjoy the decorations and take a few group photos. It was a shocker to come back to our table and find our appetizer that we just ordered and barely ate disappear and the table totally cleaned. We were debating if we should just leave but decided to give them a chance by staying. It didn't get any better as a new set of chips and dip was brought to us but we didn't even get our second appetizer until it was towards the end and I had to remind the server. I wish we had a better experience but unfortunately didn't.

My wife and I have been in Fair Oaks 20 plus years. We have seen a lot of good things come and go. Shangri la is our go to place for birthdays and anniversaries. Best food in town! Try the salmon it will blow you away. We look forward to many more years enjoying the cool outdoor seating and to notch menu! Thank you for another great experience.

Best fried chicken! Salmon always cooked perfectly. Ube Guava Colada for the win! 😊

The weather was perfect. We had a 7pm seating. It was busy but the service was smooth and friendly. I had the fried chicken and it was perfect! Great breading, really crunchy. She had the fish tacos, grilled, and she really enjoyed them. We had two appetizers, two cocktails, two entrees and a bottle of wine and the total was more than fair!
