Our newest addition to Main Street Patchogue. Located in one of the most historical buildings on Main Street once owned and operated by James G. Shand and his family for around 100 years. Chef Francis Derby brings you a menu focused on seasonality and sustainability with continental cuisine ranging from a raw bar selection and local farm produce to house made pastas and dry aged steaks. Our beverage menu is an eclectic mix of cocktails curated by seasoned bartenders and a wine list from around the world.

At first we were seated in front by an open wall of windows, while the bar across the street blasted music. We asked to be moved to the back room where the ambience was better. Once seated, the service was among the slowest I’ve ever encountered. It took ages to get water and even longer to get drinks. We had been there almost an hour before the food came out. The food was very good but the painfully slow service made the experience less than enjoyable.

The duck breast was the best I have ever had. Cocktails were tremendous. The service was friendly and impeccable.

Gorgeous rebrand of a local classic. Sophisticated but approachable atmosphere and food. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I recommend ordering severable plates for sharing. The drinks are top tier.

Third time there and it keeps getting better! Started at the bar great dirty belvedere martinis ..then went to the dining room for dinner…beef tartare with a side of torched bone marrow and bread, peach salad(OMG YUM) delish!! Then we had the chicken, so much crunchy goodness, filet and ribeyes.sides of broccolini and orzo! All delicious! We will be back!!

Great experience at Shands and the State Room! The ambience is great. We went on a Saturday night at around 7pm and it was relatively quiet. We both ordered pasta dishes and both of us immediately said “wow, this is what a real portion size should look like.” The flavors were delicious. Our server was great as well. Afterwards we went upstairs to the State Room for dessert and a nightcap. Great night!

We enjoyed our meals very much. Steaks cooked perfectly -sauces, delicious. Setting was nice.

This was our 4th visit to Shands since opening this Spring! Service is great, our server was very helpful and attentive to us. Our food was delicious and just the right size portions!
