Our newest addition to Main Street Patchogue. Located in one of the most historical buildings on Main Street once owned and operated by James G. Shand and his family for around 100 years. Chef Francis Derby brings you a menu focused on seasonality and sustainability with continental cuisine ranging from a raw bar selection and local farm produce to house made pastas and dry aged steaks. Our beverage menu is an eclectic mix of cocktails curated by seasoned bartenders and a wine list from around the world.

So much creativity and thoughtfulness in everything from cocktails to entrees to desserts. Definitely save room for dessert. You’ll be happy you did.

We had the Bloody Mary Shrimp, Scallops, Fried Chicken, Herb Frites, and Broccolini. All were excellent. Nice selection of wines by the glass. Service was attentive. All in all, a great addition to the dining scene in Pathogue.

Our server Alex was excellent with recommendations and it was hands down one of the best meals of my life. Cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu!

10/10. I’ve been waiting for a restaurant like this to come to Patchogue. Finally a place that strives with quality and innovation. You can enjoy the company around you, a well balanced cocktail and freakin really good food. The staff was amazing. Burt and his whole team behind the bar have nailed the cocktail scene. Every little detail was perfectly executed. Tom, Anthony and Dylan behind the bar just impressed the audience with their knowledge of both the food menu and cocktails menu. You might be surprised by how wholesome they are with their welcoming atmosphere they create for you. We had multi-courses of Chicken Liver Mousse, Local Gem Salad, Garganelli Pesto Pasta, Pork Shoulder Steak Frites, Fried Spring Chicken and of course the Chocolate Pie. You wanna have really good food and drinks, Shands. Wanna impress your date- Shands. Wanna get away from the drunk annoying 21 year olds hanging out on the strip- Shands. I can’t wait to see what else you guys bring to the table. Keep doing what your doing- it’s a new era for Patchogue. Thank You 🍾🤍✨

The food and service were absolutely wonderful. I enjoyed the cocktails very much, especially the Hudson. I will definitely recommend the steak tartar and yuzu buttermilk fried chicken to anyone who goes. But the place was so loud! I think there needs to be some noise dampening installed somehow because my husband and I had to lean in close to each other and raise our voices just to have a conversation.

Went to Shands on a Sunday at 430. The decor is beautiful and the place has 3 distinct areas for seating. The front room along Main Street is very bright and inviting with very large windows. The bar area has an industrial look to it with large booths to back of patrons sitting at the bar. The area where we were sat was windowless but well appointed and dimly lit. The lower ceiling and the way the room is cordoned off from the rest of the restaurant made the room feel cozy and quiet and made us feel like we were in our special section - which was perfect for our anniversary dinner. The waitstaff was very attentive without being overbearing. We ordered a salad and 2 entrees and a side. The waiter asked if we were sharing everything, which we were, and so he made it a point to bring everything out essentially as different courses which worked out great because the table was on the small side and having all of this sharing space would be a lot to fit. The tahini Caesar salad was one of the best salads I have ever had. The caccio and chili pasta was delicious. The portion size was a bit small but that might just be my wofe and I being greedy because we wanted a lot more of it. We ordered the burger and the seared broccolini- both of which were very good. A side note, they recommended medium rare on the burger which I would normally go with but my wife prefers it a bit more cooked. I asked for medium but we both felt that it came to the table closer to medium rare- but definitely not a deal breaker and we both enjoyed it. We had 3 cocktails between us, and all were made very well and delivered promptly. Highly recommend the franny pack. The old fashioned was also on point. At this price point Shands will likely remain a special occasion restaurant for me but you are definitely getting dollar for dollar quality with service, food, and atmosphere.
