Owned and operated by local Chef Shakti Lanphere since 2001. Our open exhibition kitchen boasts scratch-cooked Italian dishes like Filet Mignon Al Pepe Verde, Pezzatto Di Bisteca - Drunkin' Style, an unmatched Bolognese Al Forno and our signature spicy Rigatoni 218. Shakti also keeps an array of beautiful, fresh seafood in her kitchen daily. Hand-made desserts like warm Chocolate Pot Du Creme piled high with Chantilly Cream and freshly torched Creme Brulee are delighted over at Shakti's. Beautiful fabrics on rounded booths with low, intimate lighting work wonders for date nights, birthdays, anniversaries and business meetings. There were 8 of us for dinner. We had a quiet table in the lower part of the restaurant.. Cocktails were OK (missing an ingredient for 2 of the cocktails ordered so had to change order). Crab coquettes were delicious. We had the salmon (grilled with lemon caper butter and blackened). The salmon was way over cooked and absolutely charred. Steaks and scallops were good. Desert was fine. Service was attentive. Would recommend, but be cautious of the salmon.

We waited 1hr and 15 minutes for our appetizers. My husband and I ordered two gluten free appetizers since I have celiac. The crab croquettes tasted okay, but were burned on one side. The burned side was served face down, I think they were hoping we wouldn’t notice. My husband enjoyed the squid/ fresh calamari, I had one bite and it tasted okay, but on my next forkful I noticed there was a pasta noodle in the dish. I am aware cross contamination is an issue, but it had me concerned they were cooking gluten-containing foods in the same pan as items labeled gluten free. The staff responded appropriately and assured me my steak au poivre was safe to eat. Unfortunately the steak, sauce, and mashed potatoes were extremely under seasoned- they tasted as if no salt had been added to the dish. My husband said the bolognese was under seasoned as well and just okay. For the money, I don’t feel it’s worth it. The atmosphere was nice, we sat outside.

Though Rita and I have discussed this privately, the public should understand that this has brought something very important to our attention that we are now meticulously focusing on. This is a first in 24 years, a noodle in a GF dish. Absolutely an isolated incident, it will not happen again. Because everyone's palates differ, salt and pepper are now on our tables. All of us at Shakti’s appreciate this feedback as we continually strive for perfection and 5 star dining experiences. Thank you, Rita, for bringing these issues to our attention. We ordered from the Twilight Dinner menu. Portions were good sized and delicious! Atmosphere was beautiful and service was great!

Our waiter was excellent and very attentive, and the food extremely delicious. Outside seating is a must! The inside seemed quite dark as we were going through, but the back garden feels like a little oasis you would not expect from the outside looking in. Very happy with our visit and will be making it a regular for our date night!
