It’s my third visit to Shakespeare. My first two visits were great - food and service were both lovely. This time, I thought I’d bring my brother and cousins here. There were 6 of us. We ordered a fair amount (one main and drink each) plus a couple of starters to share and a few extra drinks later. Two of us ordered a pasta dish - one Arrabiata and one creamy chicken. The pastas were probably the most awful, tasteless pastas we’ve ever had! We tried each others and they were both as bad as the other. No seasoning, no flavour… nothing! Even after putting extra salt, pepper and chilli flakes on, it just tasted awful. Called someone over (not sure if it was the manager?) and he said all he could do was replace the dish with the same pasta but it’ll taste the same. If that’s the case, I would half expect them to either try it for themselves or offer us something else in return. Nothing. Fine, no problem… but then when we got the bill, we saw that the pastas were £16-£17 EACH. In fairness we probably should’ve looked before, but we wouldn’t have even minded paying for it if there was some flavour to it. My husband ordered a beef burger which came with chips (which he said was pretty standard) but even that costed something around the £14-£15 mark. Anyways, to sum it up, it was an awful experience which I felt could’ve been made better with slightly better decision making on their part.

The food is always good and decent size portions. Service for getting the food was a little slower than normal now they are doing takeaway/delivery!

Excellent value for money. Great place for outings as a for couples, family or larger groups. Definitely will be visiting again.

Food is always great and large portions. Service is great especially Ishmal who is an asset to the place! Reasonable prices.

Pretty bistro, nicely decorated, waiter very attentive. Food portions huge. Would definitely go back! Very Instagram worthy!
