Le Sereia propose des plats de fruits de mer raffinés d'inspiration portugaise (dont le caviar qui donne son nom au restaurant) sous la direction du célèbre chef Henrique Sá Pessoa, du restaurant Alma, deux étoiles Michelin, situé à Lisbonne. D'autres classiques comme le Cataplana, un ragoût de poisson traditionnel, sont à savourer dans la salle glamour aux accents marins, dotée d'un bar à crudos de style omakase, ou dans le patio extérieur à la végétation luxuriante.

Sereia is superb… we have appreciated Portuguese food for years but to try it in the context of modern cuisine was incredible. Dishes were extremely tasty and yet light (Portuguese cuisine is not exactly known for being ‘light’). The quality is exceptional, served with care and purpose, and beautiful to look at! The shrimp in garlic is insane (forget about those over garliced and oily gambás al ajillo from Spanish restaurants) - these are light and aromatic and the shrimps are some of the freshest I have ever tried in Miami! The cod is an experience; once again, devoid of all the heavy ingredients and crowned by a simple raw egg that takes it to another level - I could have had two portions it was so delicious. The scallops were nice and salty in an espuma with caviar, perfect to get the taste buds ready for the experience to come. The chicken Piri Piri was true to its heritage as asserted by a fellow diner from Africa and used to fantastic Portuguese-inspired food from Mozambique. Desserts were amazing, and the Portuguese are know to excel in their desserts! Sweet rice but dialed up with a cream that looked like meringue but had a yogurt base - mind blowing. The deconstructed Pastel De Nata, a religious experience! And the pudim that was anything but pedestrian. The wine selection was respectable and we ended our meal with a small glass of Ginja - a sour sherry liqueur… NOT to be missed! We felt like we were in Óbidos! All hail to the modern Portuguese cuisine - Chef Enrique Sa Pessoa and team delivers beautifully! This will be a place to go back, over and over again!

We walked in on a rainy evening to find out if our outdoor reservation could be accommodated inside, and were greeted by smiling Symran who assured us they would. The entire staff was warm and friendly throughout our meal. Wendy, our server, explained all the complex dishes carefully and was happy to let us taste wines to decide what was the best match for each course. And yes, the food more than met our expectations. We ordered from the Miami spice menu, which was a great introduction to their Portuguese cuisine. We look forward to returning.

Food was great, our waiter was great. The rest of the staff doing platings did not seem to know how to describe the food, something that needs to be worked on. Overall I would definitely visit again.

Anyone wanting to experience European style seamless service, classic but not stuffy ambience and Michelin Star quality cuisine - well, it is right here in Coconut Grove!

We went to Sereia for our wedding anniversary. Food was really good and well presented. I truly enjoyed the scallops as a starter! Service was also quite outstanding with the restaurant manager extending us a courtesy with a dessert. Will definitely come back.

Amazing food and service. Best Miami spice menu. They included their best dishes, which is uncommon with other restaurants.

We went following a recommendation. I know portuguese cuisine and here we found a new take on the traditional. So if you’re looking for the old “arroz doce” you won’t find it. Other than that, everything was delicious and the service impeccable!

Very bad experience, never going back! valet: $15: valet did not have umbrella- we had to walk under rain from street to the entrance. party of 3: 4 drinks ( $18 each, comes w huge ice cube , the size of the glass- fspace left for half a drink) The waiter was nice but not well-trained We ordered 3 " Miami Spice menus" $65 each: food was ok but served cold. ( dessert was good) Our friend asked to replace appetizer for something else. waiter suggested octopus- without telling us there was a charge $15 extra for the "change" The check comes: They automatically charged 20% mandatory service fees, which is written in small letters just below the last item " octopus" - PLUS, taxes were charged on top of Service fees too! The credit card stub DID NOT MENTION the 20% service fees already charged, just "TOTAL AMOUNT"plus a blank space to Add " + TIPS" It was Super misleading, my husband added 20% more, not knowing it was already included. TOTAL BILL : $400!!! ( 40% tips!!!!) I called today and talked to the manager, expressing my concern for their very misleading and unclear method of charging customers. She told me " service fees" and "TIP" are not the same thing! Plus, se said that Taxes ARE to be charged for Service fees? She said it is normal for clients to pay both for "excellent experience" (40% of the bill!) BUT if I wanted, she would refund the 20% EXTRA tips that we paid! As if that would resolve he situation. Our concerns and bad experience were totally ignored.

This restaurant continues to contribute to the Miami food experience. Too high prices for mediocre at best food. Those of us who live here have gotten entirely too used to $50+ entrees that do NOT deliver. Sereia does its best to uphold the tradition. Staff was very nice and attentive. Space is warm and inviting Will we go back? Unfortunately, probably not
