C'est en 1991 que Serafina, un petit restaurant intime de quartier, ouvre ses portes le long de Eastlake entre l'Université et le centre ville. Grâce à ses murs de couleur ocre évoquant le paysage toscan, l'ambiance intime et sensuelle, la belle terrasse extérieure et sa cuisine italienne authentique, le restaurant est parmi les plus populaires des gens de Puget Sound et de bien au-delà. La philosophie de Serafina est simple: offrir les meilleurs ingrédients au sommet de leur fraîcheur, présenter la nourriture de façon intègre et attirante, puis créer une ambiance chaleureuse, décontractée et apaisante qui évoque la bienvenue accueillante que l'on ressent en entrant dans une maison italienne. One of my Wife and my favorite places. They truly never disappoint. The dessert that was on special, a Lemon-Coconut cake was in top 5 best desserts of all time

Always an enjoyable dining experience. Service is excellent. Food predictable. Prices quite high but that’s normal nowadays. Always fun!

We had a very nice dinner. The food and service were great. The noise level was higher than we're used to. But overall it was a very enjoyable experience.

We loved our evening at Serafina. The lasagna and eggplant dish were spectacular and service was wonderful. Ambiance was very romantic but the table for two was a bit too small. Other than that, we think this is our favorite Italian spot we’ve tried out of like 17 different states.

For the price, the food and service was below average. Our bill with tip came to about $325. We got 2 half orders of pasta dishes, 2 entrees, 3 glasses of wine, 2 desserts, and 2 digestifs. There was item they were out of, and the server was unapologetic. Also, our desserts of biscotti and gelato took about 15 minutes- not much to prepare there. Table next to us ordered their desserts well after ours (flourless chocolate cake and cheesecake), and they got theirs very quickly. Our server did not apologize for the delay, nor bothered to really care. I can better spend the money elsewhere for a more enjoyable meal and service.

We really enjoyed our birthday celebration. Great food, drinks in a beautiful setting we will be back.

Went here for Valentine’s Day dinner with my girlfriend. Food and wine were great along with ambiance. I was surprised by the mandatory 20% gratuity on top of the 4.5% service charge. It didn’t say anywhere on the website or on the menu about the gratuity. The food and service were great, but not worth 24.5% of an already expensive dinner.

I don’t really leave bad reviews, if something is not for me, it could be for someone else. Unfortunately the meal I had a serafina was so intensely disappointing I find it hard to believe someone else would enjoy it. The service was wonderful, 10/10 across the board. The plating was beautiful! The appetizers were fine, nothing very memorable but not bad. For the main course, we had the maiale (which again, plated so wonderfully), and the braised short ribs. It was more like a very thick cut of brisket, and very very dry. It was also served with a parsnip puree which was so sweet it could have been a dessert. the two did not pair well at all. again, I had a great time at this place otherwise, interior was gorgeous and service from manager to servers was perfect, but the food was a major let down.

We live a couple blocks away and come here at least a couple times a year, especially when friends and family visit. Great quality restaurant and the atmosphere is unmatched. A Seattle institution.
