Our server was great. Overall the food was good. Anything fried was very greasy. Still the best gf fish and onion rings I’ve had in Calgary. Will go back.

Wonderful little gem in the NW. We are celiac family and it was an absolute bonus that the menu is completely gluten free…..without compromising on taste at all! Gluten eaters rejoice- there is a place where your non gluten peeps can eat, but you will enjoy it just as much!! I just need to come and try out the smoothie bar on my next visit! Thanks Selia Bar for a great dining experience!

It was so nice to be able to share a meal out without having to worry about cross contamination of gluten. We both loved our meal calamari was so good. We can’t wait to take friends in future. Great service as well.

Overall the experience was ok. The service was the best part, but it wasn't the best service we've ever had either. The food either came out cold or underdone for everyone at the table. They had no high chairs for kids even though they had a kid's menu, and no change table in the bathroom either. There's very little separation between the bar and the restaurant, the bar had a hockey game playing so it was extremely loud. The server we had was nice but he was the only one serving and the restaurant was full. The food tasted okay, it wasn't the best gluten-free food we've had in Calgary. I think if the food was better it would be worth the price but we ended up paying over $30 a person and it was not worth that.

My husband has a membership at the Edgemont gym and recommended Selia Bar to me as the friend I was dining with has celiac disease. My friend was shocked to see so many gluten free choices on the menu. I was pleasantly surprised that I could not tell that the bun on my chicken sandwich was gluten free! It was absolutely delicious! I am not a big eater so my meal was plenty for me, but I think my husband would have perhaps needed an appetizer to have left feeling full. There was one very friendly wait staff member which was fine when we first arrived but as the Bar got busier, she/they came by our table less frequently. They were very friendly though as stated and being the only one on that day was not their fault. I would definitely go back to Selia again. It’s nice to have a restaurant in the suburbs that is nice and caters to delicious gluten free meals.

We attend Selia somewhat regularly and the buffet provided was not an accurate representation of their best plates. Nothing was decent.

Went to Selia's for Mother's Day brunch with my mother and 4 teenagers. The brunch was buffet style on a small table by the patio. The food was not terrible, but it was also not very good. The scrambled eggs were overcooked and rubbery, the hash browns were also overdone and crunchy, everything was luke warm at best. The hush puppies and other dessert loaf were tasty and the sunrise cocktail I had was good, but overall very underwhelming and just not good. Selia's has been okay in the past, but do not recommend for mother's day brunch. Definitely not worth the price and we left feeling disappointed.

Music was SO loud that we had a hard time having a conversation. For the 3/4 of us who have Celiac, the novelty of being able to order anything on the menu was unfortunately outweighed by the mediocre food. The chicken burger was not good. Crispy chicken was wayyy overcooked so I could hardly get my teeth through it - had to resort to my knife and fork. Hawaiian burger was not good according to my hubby. Burger buns were dry and disappointing. Our two friends ordered two types of bowls and left most of them - way too rich and soggy they said. Overall the food was heavy and rich and greasy. We sadly won’t be back unless there’s a menu overhaul.
