Selene Aegean Bistro is the newest venture from the family that brought you the Michelin guide recommended Nammos Estiatorio.
“We're incredibly excited to introduce Selene to the Hastings-Sunrise neighborhood,” said Yianni Kerasiotis, co-owner of Selene. “Our vision is to create a unique, elevated dining experience for this city. Selene will be Greek cuisine with an exciting blend of culinary influences from all across the Aegean coast."
Selene's menu features locally sourced seafood and dishes inspired by the culinary traditions of the Aegean region, with many exciting twists. Guests are encouraged to order a range of dishes from our extensive menu selection, which are best shared family-style. In addition to the sophisticated fare, Selene will boast a curated beverage program, highlighting handcrafted cocktail, and Greek, Spanish and local wines.

Last night, my family and I had the pleasure of dining at Selene, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped in, the ambience transported us straight to a charming Mediterranean country. The decor was thoughtfully curated, with warm lighting, rustic furniture, and soft Mediterranean music that set the perfect mood for a relaxed dinner. Now, let’s talk about the food—it was nothing short of amazing! Each dish we ordered was bursting with authentic flavors, perfectly seasoned, and presented beautifully. The freshness of the ingredients was evident, and the care taken in preparing each dish was commendable. However, I did feel that the portions were a bit smaller than expected, especially given how delicious everything was. But the exceptional taste more than made up for it. From the creamy hummus and freshly baked pita to the savory Keema and delightful Salmon, every bite was a treat. Their dessert was the perfect finish, with the baklava base standing out as a highlight. Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving Mediterranean flavors in a setting that feels straight out of Greece or Turkey. While I wish the portions were slightly more generous, the superb taste and delightful ambience made it a truly memorable evening for my family and me.

I was really impressed by this place. The food was great, the atmosphere was so nice! Loved the decor and the service was top notch. Our waiter was very attentive. The service here was better than I’ve had at most fine dining places. The location is convenient and there’s plenty of parking.

We had to wait a little bit despite the fact we had a reservation however, they made it up to us by offering a drink on the house. We were really impressed with the flavours, ambience and the mythological story behind the restaurant. Clearly a lot of love has been put into the interior and small details. The service was great our server was super knowledgeable about the foods and drinks. We had a great time!

We had a wonderful meal at Selene. Tried many of the appetizers and half plates. The Greek salad is perfection. The service was impeccable. We’ll be back soon!

My husband and I came here to celebrate his birthday. We tried two appies, two “half moon”and one “full moon”entree. It was plenty of food for two and we were too full to order dessert. The babaganoush was just ok. The spanako-pizza was good too. The salad was good, similar to a Caesar salad. The lamb was very tender and was the highlight of our meal. We ordered the branzino and that was disappointing and not worth the high cost. It was just fried fish. The server refilled our water regularly. However, I found the service to be lacking. The busperson didn’t know to take the empty dishes away before bringing the new dishes so she ended up not having anywhere to set the dishes down and was awkwardly balancing the dishes along the edge of our small table. Similarly when the salad came out, the server told us to make sure to toss it well. I think the server should have offered to toss it for us rather than tell us to do it ourselves.

Beautiful ambiance. Attentive prompt service We had the tzatziki with pita, the salmon crudo, the lamb ribs, and the octopus. All delicious.

Amazing menu selection! Oyster mushroom souvlaki is definitely a must! Service is amazing, and everyone is very friendly. My only wish is that I was seated face to face with my company instead of being on the high table (I’m assuming we got moved since I made a modification with the amount of people attending) but other than that I’m very happy with my experience. Already booked back for anniversary dinner!

Overall, a very nice experience. Food was tasty and quick. We split 2 mezzes, 3 mains, 1 glass of wine, 2 desserts and the overall bill was very reasonable. Our server did seem a bit nervous and reminded us 3-4 times that we had to be out at 730 which was said kindly but we probably only needed to be told once. Anyways! Would go back and recommend.

The attention to detail in this restaurant was so refreshing to see, from the matching pins on the staff all the way to the themed menu and coasters, our experience here was amazing. The food was extremely flavourful, and the drinks were delicious. We especially enjoyed the hummus, and the squid-ink octopus dish they had. I will definitely be coming here again, perhaps to celebrate a special occasion as this place seems very fitting!

Beautiful hand drawn artwork along the walls. Professional and prompt service with just the right amount of friendliness without feeling overwhelmed. All dishes were absolutely slide with an outstanding Branzino and Pork Belky Souvlaki. I’m a dessert person so the almond orange cake was the icing on top of a delicious night out
