Selene Aegean Bistro is the newest venture from the family that brought you the Michelin guide recommended Nammos Estiatorio.
“We're incredibly excited to introduce Selene to the Hastings-Sunrise neighborhood,” said Yianni Kerasiotis, co-owner of Selene. “Our vision is to create a unique, elevated dining experience for this city. Selene will be Greek cuisine with an exciting blend of culinary influences from all across the Aegean coast."
Selene's menu features locally sourced seafood and dishes inspired by the culinary traditions of the Aegean region, with many exciting twists. Guests are encouraged to order a range of dishes from our extensive menu selection, which are best shared family-style. In addition to the sophisticated fare, Selene will boast a curated beverage program, highlighting handcrafted cocktail, and Greek, Spanish and local wines.

This was an all around fantastic experience. We were greeted pleasantly when we walked in and service throughout the night was perfectly timed. We ordered all our dishes at once and let the server and kitchen dictate the progression of the meal. I am so impressed with the timing and execution of the dishes. Full of flavour and deeply satisfying, perfect textures, and nicely portioned. The hummus was ethereal and the octopus was cook so the meat was tender. Try a fun cocktail and Greek wine and you won’t be disappointed

food quality was good, service was ok. the ONE piece of pita to split amongst 3 people for the dip was honestly offensive, esp since an extra single piece of pita was 5 $.

I was very excited visiting for the first time. We ordered 2nd course menu and wasn’t too thrilled. Lamb ribs were good flavour but very fatty. Harissa chicken didn’t have much flavours of harissa and overly battered.

Our server helped us to decide on having the 'taster menu' - great choice, especially with the great Greek wine pairing recommended by the staff!

The drinks were a reasonable price. The pita, babaghanoush, and lamb ribs were great but most of the food we received was lukewarm. The saganaki was the biggest disappointment; it was room temperature and seemed lower quality than what I've had at other Greek restaurants (Anatoli's in North Van for example). The little details like the custom napkin rings and art on the walls was nice. Our server was also very friendly.

Our server Aiden was excellent, friendly and very attentive. The food was great! I highly recommend Selene.

It was our first time here and we had a wonderful dinner. Drinks and food were innovative and delicious, service was excellent. Highly recommend!!

Very nice restaurant. The hummus is a must try as well as the mussels. There were two of us and three sharing plates would have been plenty but we had more and were full by the entree. The service was good and the atmosphere was lively. Would recommend and will be back.

Great new neighbourhood addition! Lots of delicious items on the menu - already want to go back and try more! Great for a group of 4 so you can order a bunch and try it all.
