Selene Aegean Bistro is the newest venture from the family that brought you the Michelin guide recommended Nammos Estiatorio.
“We're incredibly excited to introduce Selene to the Hastings-Sunrise neighborhood,” said Yianni Kerasiotis, co-owner of Selene. “Our vision is to create a unique, elevated dining experience for this city. Selene will be Greek cuisine with an exciting blend of culinary influences from all across the Aegean coast."
Selene's menu features locally sourced seafood and dishes inspired by the culinary traditions of the Aegean region, with many exciting twists. Guests are encouraged to order a range of dishes from our extensive menu selection, which are best shared family-style. In addition to the sophisticated fare, Selene will boast a curated beverage program, highlighting handcrafted cocktail, and Greek, Spanish and local wines.

                                              Loved the food and the energy! The servers were very nice and took the time to explain everything about the food to us. Amazing experience!

                                              Food took a bit on the longer side to come out, we were told we’d have to be out by a certain time but we waited a bit longer than expected for food and couldn’t meet the dine limit. Otherwise everything was great we had a lovely girls night , our server was great, food was delicious. I’d recommend family style so you can try more things and share. Thanks for having us!

                                              We returned to Selena for the second week in a row due to the fantastic food, service, and atmosphere. Our second visit was equally delightful. The chefs here are exceptionally skilled and purposeful; I doubt there are better chefs in the city. Kudos to the entire team, and we're already planning to come back next week. The wine program and cocktails are also top-notch and added to our enjoyment You’re very happy to have had Josh and Anna there for our second visit !!!

                                              It was a nice ambiance. But the menu isn’t very family friendly. Staff was amazing, but not very affordable for an average family.

                                              Really enjoyed the experience. First time, booked for a small group and did the tasting menu. Enjoyed all of it, and would encourage others to visit - loved the fact that we also didn't have to go all the way downtown. Having a great restaurant in the Hastings Sunrise area is a delight, and know that I will be back!

                                              Went with my friend to celebrate our friendiversary! The restaurant is really pretty inside with good spacious tables. We ordered three dishes to share and it was enough food for us

                                              They are very friendly, the manager Anna went above and beyond to make our evening special. The bartender yousef made us fantastic drinks! We had a great evening.

                                              Absolutely loved this restaurant, the ambiance, food, cocktails, service, and all the details in between. I’m usually not one for reviews but this deserves an exception. There wasn’t one dish that was disappointing here. A bunch of small-medium sized plates that were perfect for our group of 3. We loved the feta stuffed olives, hummus with lamb crumbles, Greek salad, mussels, mushroom souvlaki and potatoes. Such a treat to dine here during my trip to Vancouver! A huge shoutout to the staff. Incredibly kind and helpful and didn’t steer us wrong. Loved it!

                                              Wow, thanks for the fabulous evening! This review might be longer than usual because there are so many good things to mention. Firstly, the room was absolutely gorgeous, and the lighting was spectacular. Kudos to whoever designed that! The service was impeccable—knowledgeable and friendly, thanks to Anna and Josh. The star of the show was the food. We started with the Tirokafteri (roasted pepper and feta dip) served with what I assume was house-made pita—easily a 10/10. The Ribeye Cap Kamamaki was recommended by our servers and exceeded expectations at 11/10. We've already booked a return visit to try more items. We also had the pleasure of meeting one of the chefs, who was charming. We hope they continue to be a part of this restaurant forever! The only suggestion I have is for them to update the parameters on the Opentable system. Many time slots were blocked, which made booking challenging. We initially booked at the bar for 6:15, which was a bit tight for us to arrive on time, though there were plenty of available seats. Adjusting this on the backend would be super helpful.

                                              A bit on the pricey side, but the atmosphere and food are excellent. We had mainly seafood dishes and they were all cooked perfectly.
