D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Les habitué·e·s ne cessent de revenir au Selden Standard pour déguster des petits plats et des cocktails artisanaux dans cet espace industriel branché qu'USA Today a désigné comme l'un des meilleurs restaurants de 2024. Selden is rustic and casual, but with an ever-present eye for quality, creativity, and fun. Chef Andy Hollyday is a 2023 James Beard finalist and four-time semi-finalist. Selden Standard was named a semi-finalist for Outstanding Restaurant by the James Beard Foundation (2024), and has been named Restaurant of the Year by both the Detroit Free Press (2015) and Hour Detroit (2016).

What not to like? Excellent food, truly. Excellent service and staff. Really nice vibe in the restaurant.

I've never had anything other than a "very good, if not great" experience at Selden Standard. I typically bring folks here to open their mind to approachable, but unique, comfort food. The cocktail and beverage program are always on point, and often times experimental. (My counterparts were offered drinks that weren't even on the menu "yet.") Appropriately priced when you look at the effort and energy that goes into every dish and beverage, but definitely not overpriced. 3 people, 1 non-alcoholic, in and out for under 300 plus tip. Not bad for Detroit.

What a wonderful experience. It's hard to find a restaurant that has it all; Delicious and creative food served hot and exactly on time that is not going to break the bank. Selden Standard has it all. Non pretentious but exacting on the food and service. Each dish was a combination of flavors that worked wonderfully, my favorites were the duck and the cabbage. Both surprising in their depth of flavor with unique combinations. I have no idea how one can char grill a cabbage and have it melt in your mouth...but they did:) I'm very excited to visit again.

The food here is absolutely incredible, never fails to impress. The service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is super inviting.

Everything was phenomenal. The atmosphere, the food, the service. A nicer meal and prices to match - however, fully worth the upscale meal for a special night out. WILL be back. Such a well-oiled machine behind the scenes, you can tell. Well done, Selden Standard.

First time here. We were very impressed the food was awesome, great recommendations from our server. Our server and everyone else was very good. We loved it so much we are going back on Sunday. And we are all from out of town. Great place with a great vibe.

What a great place to come to for dinner. Drinks great food phenomenal. A must when looking for a great experience.

We sat at the bar and loved the ambiance and staff. Very knowledgeable and every recommendation was excellent.
