D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Les habitué·e·s ne cessent de revenir au Selden Standard pour déguster des petits plats et des cocktails artisanaux dans cet espace industriel branché qu'USA Today a désigné comme l'un des meilleurs restaurants de 2024. Nothing brings us more joy than a great meal with friends. Sharing that experience is at the heart of why we opened Selden Standard. Our concept and our dining room are rustic and casual -- come as you are -- but with an ever-present eye for quality, creativity, and fun.

Selden is rustic and casual, but with an ever-present eye for quality, creativity, and fun. Chef Andy Hollyday is a 2023 James Beard finalist and four-time semi-finalist. Selden Standard was named a semi-finalist for Outstanding Restaurant by the James Beard Foundation (2024), and has been named Restaurant of the Year by both the Detroit Free Press (2015) and Hour Detroit (2016).

The farm-to-table menu was unique, creative, fresh, exciting, and delicious. The staff was simply exceptional. My wife has several food allergies and the waitress worked with the chef before we arrived to present her with an annotated menu. As each course was delivered the waitperson explained how it was allergy-free and ensured that the sauce for one of the courses was kept to the side so my wife could enjoy it as well. The restaurant even had a dessert that she could enjoy safely. The drinks and the wine list was excellent. Our only regret was that we had theatre tickets so we couldn’t stay longer to enjoy more of their libations. The ambiance was stylish, clean, and inviting. We will definitely be going back.

Loved everything about this restaraunt but the noise level. Hard to hear conversation at your own table.

The food and service was excellent. Noise level a little high but didn't overwhelm conversation. Good energy in the restaurant.

Selden has long been my favorite restaurant. I’ve been going for years and still have never had a bad bite. This time was no different. Every single dish was different, tasty, high quality and it was plenty to share when we ordered about 2-3 dishes per person. The cocktails were so good our table of 7 each had multiple rounds. I’ll be back again …. And again….and again!

We had one in our party who was vegan and one who was pescatarian and they were really nice and accommodating. The food was fantastic and my out of town guests were really impressed. It was the first visit for all of us. Would love to go back. We ordered so many of the vegetable plates and were impressed with how great they were!

Amazing service, delicious food. A bit pricy and very noisy in the main part of the restaurant. The side we were seated on was a little quieter.
