    Great space and ambience. Food very good and service excellent. One of our party had food restrictions and the server was extremely helpful. All staff were extremely friendly and we appreciated the special anniversary dessert.

    I recently had the pleasure of dining at Selby's, and I would highly recommend it for special occasions or upscale comfort meals. As a self-proclaimed "shorts" guy, I made an effort to dress up in a button-down shirt, smart jeans, and dress shoes - and I'm glad I did, as the atmosphere is certainly elegant. The service was top-notch, with friendly and approachable staff who made us feel welcome throughout our meal. While the food was delicious, I wouldn't say it was exceptional. I opted for the tuna tartare, beef Wellington, and peach pavlova, and each course, including the amuse-bouche, was pleasant but not particularly memorable. One note to keep in mind is that the restaurant's location on El Camino Real can be a bit awkward, with some tables situated close to the wall and within earshot of traffic. However, I suspect most tables wouldn't be affected by this. Overall, I would return to Selby's, but I would stick to the pre-fixe menu, as the additional charges for certain items didn't quite justify the extra expense. Nonetheless, Selby's is a solid choice for a special night out or a fancy meal in a sophisticated setting.

    The restaurant is stylish and classy, and it lived up to our expectations. However, our table was not ready at the time of our reservation, and after checking, we were not given an ETA either. We were seated 20 minutes after our reservation. The service was okay but felt very rushed. The waiter informed us that we had to finish within 1 and 1/2 hours, which is the worst way to approach customers trying to enjoy a relaxing dinner. Our food was good, but the steaks were not the best. I was expecting much better from a one-star Michelin steakhouse. The bill was pretty high—it felt we pay for the ambiance, but the food and service could use some improvements

    Just an amazing experience from beginning to end. Convenient and free valet parking was a nice surprise. The ambience is perfect. We were able to have a quiet conversation! The service was impeccable, very personal, charming and efficient. Interruptions were kept to a minimum. The food was nothing short of spectacular. Presentation and flavor were both amazing. We will be back again.

    Surprisingly good for its location. Places like this fall down in some aspect or another but meal was good through dessert. It’s not really a steak house, there are better dishes than the steaks. I would say it deserves its Michelin star

    A place where you can really impress someone (romantic and/or business) that would leave a lasting memory. There were six in our group, which gave us the opportunity to taste each other's orders from starters, entrees, and desserts. They also provided some other tasters that were not included in our orders. There were lots of Oohs!!!!, Aahh!!!, and WOW!!!!. But there were a couple of "on the salty side" for my taste buds (reason for not giving 5 stars). The staff were the most impressive, accommodating, and joyous to interact with. They participated in our humorous jabs and yet maintained outstanding professionalism.

    We had a wonderful time here. The food was amazing and they have an incredible wine selection. We loved that the sommelier was able to find the perfect wine for us, and our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and helped us choose a perfect meal. We'll definitely be back.

    We had a really wonderful time at our dinner. Our server was so fantastic and even sent me home with a couple extra mint chocolates because she heard they were my favorite. We really enjoyed the whole experience and it was the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary.
