Welcome to Sekkoya! We are a casual Indian restaurant and bar located at The Riverside in Canterbury serving dishes that tell a story of our heritage, cities and family.

From street dishes like Keema Pau and Samosa Chaat found all over Indian cities to curries made from recipes that have been in our family for generations which we have enjoyed around our Mums dinner table growing up like her amazing Butter Chicken and Dum Biryani.

John, our in-house bar guru, has created a cocktail menu that takes you back to the hotel bars of colonial India, perfectly complimenting our food.

Good food lovely restaurant but limited choice of dishes and very rushed service. We were asked if we wanted dessert even before we had all finished our main course. And then asked if we wanted the bill because we looked bored while one of our party was using the ladies toilet.!!!! Wouldn’t rush back because of the service quality.

A lovely group dining experience. The food was lovely and service was quick. Would definitely recommend. Nothing was too much for staff!

3rd time I’ve tried Sekoya 1st time was ok and very good ambience took your coat proper old fashioned way Great service great back ground music 2nd time wasn’t that great and did bring up some issues we had. This time thought we would give it a go one more time. Noisy it’s turned into a posh” Indian to cater to the masses plenty of Indians in Canterbury if that’s what you want. New servers training which isn’t an issue as everyone is learning. Drinks came slightly in correct Starter came out and the main same time Didn’t get asked if the meal was ok didn’t get asked if we wanted any more drinks One server was abrupt one was great and really on her game Real mix bag to be honest

Modern and smart decor and a contemporary small menu. There is also a bar and some tables there just for drinks. Everywhere was clean. Food was delicious and portion sizes were generous.

We had a fabulous birthday lunch - delicious food in a modern and tasteful setting. Service was brilliant. Love it all.

Best Indian I have had…EVER! We had the curry club deal which was such great value for money and tasted insane Would 100% recommend

Our first time eating at sekkoya and we were all very impressed! Celebrating my son 20th birthday in style. Staff were incredible and the food delicious! Very accommodating as well! And surprised us with indoor sparkler candle for my son’s cake. Highly recommend! And will be coming back soon!
