Welcome to Sekkoya! We are a casual Indian restaurant and bar located at The Riverside in Canterbury serving dishes that tell a story of our heritage, cities and family.

From street dishes like Keema Pau and Samosa Chaat found all over Indian cities to curries made from recipes that have been in our family for generations which we have enjoyed around our Mums dinner table growing up like her amazing Butter Chicken and Dum Biryani.

John, our in-house bar guru, has created a cocktail menu that takes you back to the hotel bars of colonial India, perfectly complimenting our food.

Our first time eating at sekkoya and we were all very impressed! Celebrating my son 20th birthday in style. Staff were incredible and the food delicious! Very accommodating as well! And surprised us with indoor sparkler candle for my son’s cake. Highly recommend! And will be coming back soon!

Absolutely amazing food. Everything was lovely. We was served by several different members of the team. The first girl was amazing very helpful and prompt however after her the service slipped slightly. Table wasn’t wiped just cleared. We was told the dishes come out at different times but 20 mins between the first and second pudding was a bit long. We thought the second one has been forgotten so started drinking and had shots so unfortunately we sent that back. But overall would definitely go back. Just took off one star for the little bleep in service.

This is an absolutely lovely restaurant situated outside of the city centre. The staff are all incredibly pleasant and seem to really care about the food and the customers. Was a wonderful experience and we will be returning! The food was divine and the price was reasonable for the amount that you got. A lovely little taste of India!

Absolutely lovely food. This was for my daughter’s graduation meal. Great value all 6 of us enjoyed it. Would totally recommend.

Lovely high end Indian food with beautiful presentation. We felt so comfortable we stayed for quite a while after we finished eating. There is a lovely ambience and the staff are very helpful.
