Welcome to Sekkoya! We are a casual Indian restaurant and bar located at The Riverside in Canterbury serving dishes that tell a story of our heritage, cities and family.

From street dishes like Keema Pau and Samosa Chaat found all over Indian cities to curries made from recipes that have been in our family for generations which we have enjoyed around our Mums dinner table growing up like her amazing Butter Chicken and Dum Biryani.

John, our in-house bar guru, has created a cocktail menu that takes you back to the hotel bars of colonial India, perfectly complimenting our food.

Amazing all round- food was amazing and authentic Staff were incredible very polite and efficient Definitely recommend to all Price was good aswell

Was a great brunch but it was empty, after doing many bottomless brunch in London I was expecting it to be lively and a dj etc but we were the only table. Food was incredible and cocktails were fantastic. Would 💯 go back but probably be an evening meal for more of an atmosphere.

Sekkoya at Riverside, Canterbury is excellent! From the interesting and informative menu to the delights themselves it is the perfect place to go either for a romantic dinner or a post film supper! My son and I, both very fond of Indian food, found it just we were looking for_ especially after an interesting film. My late husband, born in Bengaluru when it was still called Bangalore, would have been delighted with everything as were we. If you enjoy good Indian food , this is one of the best of the excellent Indian restaurants in Canterbury!

Amazing food, wonderful atmosphere and excellent service. We've been twice in a week because we loved it so much. Our new favourite place to eat in Canterbury.

Went with family. All the dishes were nicely balanced in flavour. Had to order 2nd plate of lamb chops, because everyone loved it. Other dishes: pav bhaji, samosa chaat, sheesh kebabs were also very tasty. Ambience is lovely and good friendly staff. Would recommend to everyone. And will definitely visit again.

We had a lovely dining experience at Sekkoya. It was our first time there and we will be returning. The restaurant is beautifully designed with lovely decor, natural wood and very comfortable banquet seating. The menu design and every detail has been carefully considered. The food was delicious, lovely non alcoholic cocktails, and the most amazing poppadoms and pickle, the best we have ever tasted. Thank you Sekkoya for a lovely evening, see you soon.

From the welcome at the beginning, including the ambience, through the mouthwatering food to the end of the meal. The service was impeccable and we will certainly be returning. Thank you to all staff at Sekkoya

Overall, enjoyed the experience, the restaurant was well appointed, the staff were attentive. The keema with buns was nice enough though a little bland, I would have liked to have seen the buns home made rather than cheap supermarket white bread rolls The lamb curry was nice enough - the lamb was at least tender, albeit the curry a little watery Garlic naan nice enough though not very garlicky Nice to see a small-ish, focused menu - will probably go for something from the grill next time It's own branded lager was a nice touch My friend also had the ceecake which was apparently delicious
