Welcome to Sekkoya! We are a unique Pan Asian restaurant and bar located at The Riverside in Canterbury. Embark on a culinary journey of Pan-Asian flavours like no other at Sekkoya, where you will find an astounding sharing menu created by celebrity Chef Jay Morjaria which includes delectable dishes prepared on our bespoke Japanese robata grill. Our mixologists will awaken your senses with exquisite cocktails, and our chic, ‘vibe dining’ experience will take you late into the night.

Named after the tallest tree in the world, the Sequoia, Sekkoya is inspired by the tree’s monumental height bringing you closer to heaven, giving you an elevated and inspiring dining experience.

    Food was terrible. No real flavour. Could make better at home. A few items not even available. Very disappointing.

    We had the best experience at Sekkoya! Had a friendly warm welcome from the manager and staff. The service was excellent and we were served very quickly. Drinks came straight out and food was also very fast. The food was amazing, couldn’t fault it! The restaurant as a whole was very clean and the toilets were also clean. Attentive, friendly staff as well. Had the best time & will be coming back!!!

    Nice, modern pan Asian restaurant. We ordered chicken tagliatelle, chicken udon noodles, siu mai, and fries. The fries were great, but the wasabi mayo was very mild. The siu mai was extremely pricey for 4 small pieces and was not worth it. The tagliatelle was delicious. The udon was okay-not spicy and very mild. I would say it’s catered more to Caucasian taste buds rather than Asian but it was okay.

    Arrived and the host barely spine. Turned her back on us there was no pleasantries she was looking at the tablet for ages and then looke up and said follow me. We were sat down and then waited a while then a lady came over and said have they explained how it all works? No noone has spoken to us. We ordered drinks they took ages yet they were not busy. The large plates are tiny and very expensive for what you get. The man that bought our drinks over did not utter a word to us even though we kept saying thank you he did not respond. The food was mediocre. Just a huge let down.

    Excellent service. Fine dining and staff were very friendly and helpful. Was celebrating a great friend and they made it very eventful. Will be back again❤️

    Very lovely food. Be prepared for high London service charges, we didn’t have our drinks topped up through our meal like I would expect. Very little service infact other than to place food on the table. Asked to move out of the nice bar area to sit by the cold front door. While the bar area remained empty 🤦🏼‍♀️ Wouldn’t rush back.

    Nice place a bit let down by service got sat at our table and then nothing no offer of drinks like I would expect waited ten fifteen minutes and gave up and went to the bar, food was nice wasn’t keen on the music maybe I’m too old! The quickest I saw the service people move was when I put cash in the receipt book, we left feedback with the manager about the service and he apologised and got us some free cocktails. Not sure I’d go back
