Curiously nestled behind an enigmatic mural in Midtown, behind a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it door stands Sei Less, a newly minted Asian fusion restaurant. With close proximity to Madison Square Garden and the Garment District, Sei Less is the new hot spot that all fiveboroughs will be talking about.

Designed for evenings of enviable cuisine and distinctive revelry, the spacefeatures seating for 350 guests juxtaposed with a meticulously curatedcollection of modern art and clean lines, alongside traditional, hand carved Asian design elements in an homage to the architectural pagodas ofgenerations’ past.

The curated Pan-Asian menu with a one-of-a-kindcocktail experience as well as mocktails, for the sober-curious set, isdesigned to enhance every evening. In addition to the main dining area,the venue will offer 4 private dining areas to accommodate private parties and events.

Great food and drinks, a bit cramped inside but other than that, AMAZING! Came from Philly and will be back soon.

The space is very pretty inside. Food & drinks were delicious. Server was very friendly, though we waited a long time to be seen by them since the section they were covering was very large (not server’s fault, but a note for the restaurant to have more coverage). Restaurant states they have a strict dress code though it is not enforced as there were many guests wearing athleisure wear & others wearing effectively nothing (buttocks exposed, breasts fully exposed) which is not something you like to see when paying hundreds of dollars for a meal. Temperature inside was very hot with poor airflow. Staff did not address any guests who were acting rowdy disrupting others’ dining experience.

I was very happy with my meal choices (I went a la carte rather than the prix fixe). The vegetable spring roles and lobster dim sum were delicious. The chocolate mousse (unusual at an Asian restaurant) was too die for! Not only was it a beautiful presentation but tasted fabulously. It really is enough for two people, but I ate it all anyway. I liked the decor of Sei Leas and Danica's service was very good! Only negative was the music that was playing. The boom boom of the drumbeat was annoying while savoring my food. I would go there again hoping there might be smoother music..

My rating is based on our experience. Everything was going well until a lady approached us and started taking photos. We assumed it was for the restaurant's website or something similar. However, afterward, she came back asking for $25 per photo. We politely declined, but she kept placing framed photos on our table, making us feel really uncomfortable. We’ve traveled around the world, and this is the first time we've seen something like this in a restaurant that tries to present itself as more exclusive. My rating is 3/5 because of this incident—unfortunately, it's the main thing we'll remember from our visit to Sei Less.

The lobster shumai was my favorite and the drinks were very strong. Overall I would go back again just for the shumai.

Our waiter was truly great same for the front reception. However, a few of the guests were very loud. Shows a lack of awareness and understanding of where they were. They were being very noisy and conducting themselves as if they were at a lounge instead of a nicely seated restaurant. Overall the place was great, the staff did excellent. Very spacious seating areas as well. The chairs could be of better quality but that’s my personal preference.
