In Italian, the word, Secondo means “the second part of a duet.” When we opened Panico’s Bistro, we knew we wanted to eventually add some harmony to our original melody and so, Secondo is the continuation of our long-standing tradition to serve classic Italian cuisine in concert with Mediterranean influences right here in Cape May County. Nested beautifully on the bay, enjoy dinner and hand-handcrafted cocktails; inside in our sophisticated dining room or outside on our covered patio next to the harbor and water.

Reservations recommended. Walk-ins are accepted based on availability. We will do our best to accommodate requests for seating preferences and/or outside dining, but they cannot be guaranteed based on limited outdoor seating. Outdoor dining may have additional wait times. Two bars (seasonal) are available to enjoy cocktails and wine should you arrive early for your reservation.

Our New Years Dinner this year was at Secondo. Always enjoyed the drinks, atmosphere and food. The place was beautifully decorated for the holidays. A special menu was in place for New Years Eve. I had a Caesars salad and Shrimp Cocktail for appetizers. Salmon with rice and asparagus. My desert selection was cheesecake. There was also bread with an olive oil dip that was excellent just like the meal. I wish the Cheesecake was a larger piece. For drinks I had a Seagrams 7 and 7 that was very good. I also ordered a very spicy blood mary. The drink was indeed spicy but not very good. I drink bloody marys when I'm out and this one was strong on being a mix. Service was excellent and our waitress was on top of everything. Always highly recommend Secondo and hope to return VERY SOON!!

It was very busy last night and there was hardly any room between tables. Food was great, me personally, didn’t care for the chicken meatballs in the soup, but LOVED the fried tomatoes!

Dining at your establishment on Christmas Eve was the worst experience of my life.. starting with the lack of attention to detail was just the tip of the iceberg.. 1 hour after seating we got water.. asked for bread 3 times never got it.. finally took our drink order..then the set menu of 75.00$ pp and the 1st course no longer was available.. but we will substitute?? ordered the pork chop so dry took it home for the dog.. ..so no 1st course .. 2nd course came out spaced 3 got it 3 did not. Ran out.. gave us something else.. ?? Then found a few more.. came out with our dinner.. it was a total disgrace.. and a rip off 75.00 for chicken parm.. never even at the very best restaurants does one pay 75$ for chicken parm. Maybe 75$ for a veal chop parm.. I cannot even tell you how upset and disappointed we were that our Christmas Eve dinner was such a mess.. I will say Tom our waiter did his best but really he didn’t have much to work with., I have eaten around the world and NEVER has anything like we experienced last night was that bad.. you really need to go back to the drawing board and redesign your strategy for running another dinner event like that.. HINT. Maybe more staff .. and more chefs.. and the ordering of the correct amount of offerings .. if not I would not open on Christmas Eve or any other day you don’t have it down .. we were a party of 6. Elaine Trulli .. PS I am sure we were not the only customers who felt this way ..

Very disappointing Christmas Eve experience. Pre set menu and they ran out of many options. Dinner took two hours, raw pork chop, server e it her over worked or avoiding table. Not sure if they were prepared for business or what happened. The owner did come in and try to rectify but the experience was terrible especially for a holiday dinner with our children

The food was terrible and way overpriced. Didn’t know it was gonna be a prefix menu and we were stuck with limited options that were very poorly timed and tiny portions. We informed the server that the food was not good and nothing was done to bring a manager over or take anything off the bill so like good people we still tipped really nicely, but it was a pretty awful experience

Service was slow - we sat for 20-25 minutes before anyone approached our table. Food order was not taken for another 15 minutes. We were brought the wrong glass of wine. Food was ok - I think they were short handed & it was Christmas Eve. Disappointing overall
