In Italian, the word, Secondo means “the second part of a duet.” When we opened Panico’s Bistro, we knew we wanted to eventually add some harmony to our original melody and so, Secondo is the continuation of our long-standing tradition to serve classic Italian cuisine in concert with Mediterranean influences right here in Cape May County. Nested beautifully on the bay, enjoy dinner and hand-handcrafted cocktails; inside in our sophisticated dining room or outside on our covered patio next to the harbor and water.

Reservations recommended. Walk-ins are accepted based on availability. We will do our best to accommodate requests for seating preferences and/or outside dining, but they cannot be guaranteed based on limited outdoor seating. Outdoor dining may have additional wait times. Two bars (seasonal) are available to enjoy cocktails and wine should you arrive early for your reservation.

Overall I was disappointed in our dining experience this time. The food was not as good as it usually is and the value for the portions has changed. We had two very small pieces of grilled octopus for 24$, which honestly is embarrassing. Other dishes were good but the famous pork chop was not as good as it usually presents. Our waiter was top notch but when you spend almost 700$ for a meal and 850$ with tip, I except better! This is typically our special occasion restaurant and for the holidays but yesterday was disappointing.

The food is always amazing and our server tonight was great. Unfortunately the noise level was like a grammar school cafeteria. It was really awful. Luckily I had earplugs in my purse from a recent concert. When we’d dined here in the past it was not like this.

First time dining at Segundo.. have been to Panicos before. The waiter was prompt and helpful.. the food was fabulous .. desserts were good but I was looking for zuppa englese or Italian rum and the ones there were not made on the premises. Not complaining .. but if I were that would be the only suggestion😊

Secondo was decorated just lovely for the Christmas season. Service was also outstanding as our server, Devon, did a wonderful job. I ordered the Lemon Chicken, which was very tasty and my husband ordered the pork chop special. The pork chop was large and cooked to perfection. Only preference would be to offer a different starch with the pork chop, perhaps a baked potato, which we would have preferred over gnocchi. I know homemade gnocchi is all the rage right now, so I understand why Secondo would want to offer that as their starch, so just a small suggestion. Everything else was wonderful and we will definitely visit again.

Our group of 6 had a wonderful time. Drinks, appetizers and main meal was great. It was definitely worth leaving the island for.
