In Italian, the word, Secondo means “the second part of a duet.” When we opened Panico’s Bistro, we knew we wanted to eventually add some harmony to our original melody and so, Secondo is the continuation of our long-standing tradition to serve classic Italian cuisine in concert with Mediterranean influences right here in Cape May County. Nested beautifully on the bay, enjoy dinner and hand-handcrafted cocktails; inside in our sophisticated dining room or outside on our covered patio next to the harbor and water.

Reservations recommended. Walk-ins are accepted based on availability. We will do our best to accommodate requests for seating preferences and/or outside dining, but they cannot be guaranteed based on limited outdoor seating. Outdoor dining may have additional wait times. Two bars (seasonal) are available to enjoy cocktails and wine should you arrive early for your reservation.

                                                                                                                We usually have to wait to be seated so waiting for 25 minutes was typical. It did not appear to be busy but the service was slow. After taking our drink orders and then our appetizer order, there was a long delay.

                                                                                                                As always the food was great. Not sure why but it took an hour to get our food. Wasn’t as busy as usual on July 4 th with empty tables at 7pm so not sure why it took so long to get our dinner served.

                                                                                                                We had a great time at Secondo. We ate outside overlooking a working marina, so it gave it some authentic appeal. Service was great and the food was excellent.

                                                                                                                We sat outside and had a view of the Marina. we had Artichoke and Octopus appetizers. A garden salad followed. We had veal and a whole red snapper. Everything was very good.

                                                                                                                Avoid taking young children as there is no kids menu. They will offer plain spaghetti but will charge the same as an adult entree for it. Also your reservation time is a mere suggestion and service quite slow. That said, food is excellent. Just debatable whether the wait is worth it.

                                                                                                                We made a reservation 2 months in advance but when we arrived on time, a table wasn’t ready for us. We went to the bar but air was blowing so hard, we couldn’t stay. The receptionist was not friendly but our waiter was. The food was good but the water warm. There are no beautiful views outside!
