Food and service phenomenal, the king prawn starter sauce was fantastic only suggestion would be to add a small amount of bread to the slide to mop up the fantastic sauce (we kept it for our fries to dip). We had steak and Hake for main course, both great and the greens were lovely. The real star of the show was desert, the home made biscoff cheesecake was sensational, and others dining had also commented on how great it was which we agreed. Sticky toffee pudding also great. Service great, lovely cosy warm atmosphere and attentive staff. Well worth a visit!

We’ve been twice now, food was absolutely beautiful. Best steak I’ve ever had!

Excellent seafood lunch at a beautiful location by the seafront. All ingredients fresh not frozen and homemade dessert galore! Thank you Anne, we will return!

The tomatoe and carrot soup was delicious. The half lobster however was tiny and came with an avocado salad. A lovely place and I’ll return, the only problem I had was you only serve Chardonnay by the bottle and not the glass and I was I bit disappointed.

I always like to support and promote Sunderland restaurants however this restaurant was poor. Service was good but that’s to be expected when only two tables occupied. I am well versed in seafood both in Uk and internationally. However seafood poor. My husbands starter caused eruption away from dish and mine was ok. Lobster biggest disappointment as lobster was taken away to be de shelled. Very disappointing. .

Dear Allison, I'm very sorry your visit to our restaurant was a disappointment. I remember you from the day and served you myself. The "eruption" of the soft boiled egg on your husband's terrine was unfortunate, however that is the way the egg is meant to be cooked. The king prawns I served to you, have been well liked by all our customers and a constant favourite. I'm very sorry if I understood you wrong by offering to take the lobster claws to the kitchen to be cracked open. I would have done it at the table if asked. A superb Sunday Roast! Just what was needed on a wet and windy New Years Day! Between us we enjoyed the beef, pork loin and chicken and all were absolutely delicious! The vegetables were fresh, plentiful and served piping hot! Our first visit but very excited to return to try the full a la carte menu!

Food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Service was ok. Staff very young so clearly learning however they were very polite. All round great experience and we’d certainly recommend it 🫶🏻
