Updating this review to note that we have been contacted quickly by management with an opportunity to come try the restaurant again and get the experience they believe is more consistent with their norm. Will update this review once we’ve had the opportunity to do that. We really appreciate the quick response to our concerns. Vibe was nice, food was generally good. Service was lacking and very slow. Experience started off good at the bar, then slowly got worse as evening progressed. We are usually pretty quick at restaurants but it was a 3 hour dinner due to delays. The dessert had a piece of plastic in it and manager didn’t even take the time to stop by to check on us. They did remove the dessert from the bill but that was honestly at minimum necessary. Based on the cost which for two people and only one drinking was well over $300, we expected a much higher level of service.

We understand your frustration, especially given your expectations for both service and quality when spending a significant amount on a meal. Please know this is not the standard we strive to maintain, and we genuinely regret that we fell short. Unfortunately, we were experiencing an unexpected shortage of staff on the day of your visit, which led to the delays and lack of attention that you described. While this is no excuse, we recognize how it impacted your evening and the overall experience, and we truly appreciate your understanding as we work to resolve these challenges.

What a wonderful find near our hotel when in Charlotte for a meeting. The menu has a wide selection of tasty appearing choices of mostly seafood. The wine list has many choices related to the sea. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who likes food from the sea.

Spouse and I visited Sea Grill for the first time for an anniversary meal and was hoping for a special meal. The restaurant is located within the old Epicenter which is now partially called Queen City Quarter. Upon parking in the building deck and getting to the main area there were no directions to find the restaurant. Greeted warmly by the very professional hostesses/hosts. Large bar area with dining tables. Had requested a table not in the bar area thinking that it would less noisy but upstairs where the main dining room is was extremely loud with guests yelling to each other over the very loud dance music (until we asked someone to turn it down). The acoustics are terrible and as other restaurants have figured this out - they should too - do not expect intimate or classy environment here as stated on the web site. All this being said - the food was incredible - pumpkin soup with lobster, celery soup, frutti di mare pasta and branzino for appetizers and entrees. Also enjoyed the cherry trifle dessert. Food is 5 stars!! Fix the acoustics in the upstairs please - or I would recommend eating in the bar dining area. Oh and let customers know that the parking deck charges $30 to exit (not by the hour). Other excellent restaurants in Charlotte better for the overall dining experience at a hefty cost.

Sea grille is a well crafted experience from the moment you walk into the lobby. The staff is extremely professional yet friendly and are clearly focused on execution of all aspects of the dining experience. The best way to describe the food is “extravagant simplicity” they use top notch ingredients to create familiar dishes that are elevated by the flawless execution of their kitchen. Love the ambiance in the well balanced and spacious dining room where you have slough room for it to feel private yet still mai rain a sociable shared space. This will be one of our new favorites in charlotte.Highly recommend it.

For a new restaurant it's was pretty good , staff was friendly and attentive, we gave grace on wait time considering it is still a newly opened business. Enjoyed the variety of dishes. Truffle pasta was our favorite!

A very pretty restaurant - clearly put a lot of money into the place. Menu is extensive but the food missed the mark entirely. Service was also subpar. In sum this is a fair restaurant masquerading as fine dining. Many other upscale restaurants in charlotte are better.

Brunch was fantastic! The seafood omelette was incredible! We also enjoyed a waffle and sushi rolls. We also have had dinner here and it was delicious as well. Love this addition to uptown!

Ever eat somewhere and it's so good you don't want others to know about it because it's going to spoil it? That's how I feel about Sea Grill. I was initially annoyed on arrival for something unrelated. The staff, including Richard General Manager, Raven our hostess and Evan or server lightened the mood and made our must special. The food! I had the frutte de mare and it was delicious. I was hesitant about the squid ink pasta. But it was delicious. My husband had the lobster risotto and I got a little of his and it was also delicious. My only gripe is it's expensive. It's a celebration restaurant is what I would call it. I can't afford to pay this much every Friday going out which is a shame because I really love this place. The bar made the perfect dirty martini for me and my husband's cocktail was equally as good. I will be back.
