We have eaten at Scratch several times in the past and always loved it and recommended it to our friends. Recently, two sets of our friends reported they had tried Scratch and did not have good experiences. On Friday, we returned ourselves and were very surprised to also have a poor experience. First, the staff was slow to approach our table, the complimentary soups were bland and my husband’s steak came out extremely rare although he had ordered it prepared medium. The staff seems annoyed that he brought it to their attention and very reluctant to prepare him a new steak. When they did, his second steak was so full of tough tendons it was impossible to cut and inedible. We ended up asking for take home containers at that point and left the restaurant. On a positive note, our dogs loved the steak and did not mind the tendons!

Ordered a $50 bone in ribeye medium rare and received a medium cooked cut of meat that would be a $20-$25 charge anywhere else. Server was outstanding and offered to swap but we didn’t have time.

The food was very good but they changed their menu , there’s no bread or pretzels any longer and they were offering soup instead on a 85 degree day . There was only one other table in the whole restaurant that had two people at it and the bar had maybe 6 people who were already eating and it took over 40 min to get our food and our salads came out with our meal and not before hand while we were waiting . It’s a shame because it used to be very busy and great food and service .

This was our first time at Scratch and we will definitely go back. The food, service and drinks were all excellent!

We have eaten at this establishment many times and everything is 100% This includes everything from the host, food, service, and ambiance. The owner makes it a point to visit with all his customers during a meal to ensure they leave happy and have a positive experience.

Our shrimp and crab appetizer didn’t seem to have any shrimp in it. My wife’s specialty salad was lackluster for the price. Both of our steaks were over-cooked, and new one’s had to be prepared….and these were even slightly over-cooked. We ended up just eating them, since we didn’t want to wait any longer. We won’t go back again, and really wouldn’t recommend the restaurant to anyone.

We love Scratch and come often. You should know though that they don’t take Open Table reservations any longer even though they show up when searching. If it’s not busy it’s not really a problem. I’ve informed the open table customer service of this problem but see they are still listed. You can go to Scratch’s website to make official reservations. It is definitely a great place with great food!

This is a gem in our small community. Everything from drinks, soup, appetizers and entrees were all delicious. Our waitress was very efficient and personable which made our dining experience even better.

The flat iron was tender and loaded with flavor. The service was spot on. I enjoyed the quiet and less flare. The chains are known for flare, but Scratch invests in their quality of food and not flare.!
