Please join us for lunch Tuesday through Friday from 11:30am - 2:00pm and Dinner Tuesday-Saturday starting at 5pm at Scott's Downtown. We offer great food prepared with attention to detail, an unparalleled wine list and the best wait staff North of Atlanta. We are located in downtown Gainesville 1 block off the historic Gainesville Square. Our menu offers a wide range of choices from USDA Prime, hand cut steaks, the freshest seafood and local produce with seasonally inspired weekly specials. Free parking is available at the North Parking Deck next door to the restaurant.

Received a gift card (sister ordered and had mailed) when my sister ordered, she called to do it and asked there to be a message sent along with the gift card. We received the gift card with no note on who it was from and with just a receipt we eventually figured out the mystery that it was from my sister. First poor experience. When we were seated, we were at a wobbly table in a small room. We asked to be moved and were seated at another table that felt like it was about to fall apart. They tried to fix it and thought it was just wobbly, but the actual tabletop was not attached correctly. We were removed a third time. OK, let’s just keep trying here and see if things get better. They didn’t. The water glass was spotted, there were crumbs on the bread plates, the calamari was soggy with a poor presentation. My husband ordered the prime rib, medium rare. It came out, medium. The crème brûlée was torched too much and was actually burnt on top. The fillet tasted really well. The mushrooms were bland. When we made the reservation, I noted that it was my husband’s birthday that we were celebrating This was overlooked and not a mention of the celebration. That was a disappointment. For the food, the atmosphere and the service it was extremely overpriced. We will not be back.

While we appreciate all feedback It is important to be forthright when asked while you are in the restaurant while can do something to remedy any missteps. I was actually cooking on the line tonight and was intimately familiar with your dinner. To clarify, your husband stated that he didn't like the original table because he "didn't" like the view according to my daughter, the host. The table you were seated at did appear to have an issue with a loose top, something easily remedied. While your husband's Prime rib was the correct temperature, I replaced it with one not soaked in Au Jus as is my spec so that the color was more representative. He ate all of it as you did with the calamari and the crème brule. You mentioned none of this to management or server when asked several times.

We brought our friends to enjoy our annual holiday meal. Everyone enjoyed the food and service and said they would definitely return. My seafood pasta was the best. The clam chowder was delicious. Very nice evening. Thank you

Food and service was great. The violinist playing Xmas music was the icing on the cake - she played beautifully!

It was a somewhat slow night however it made it much more intimate with Eduardo providing the music. We had the Chilean Seabass, and the lamb chops, which were both outstanding. It may have been the best poached fish I have had. Service was good.

We love Scott’s for all the reasons that you choose fine dining. Consistently the food is done to perfection. Service is attentive but not over bearing. The ambiance if you can get one of the small cubbies is priceless. Happy to see Scott’s open.

We have been going to Scott's for our Anniversary for the last 5 years. We enjoy the ambience and the service. The food is delicious. We will continue going to Scott's.

We celebrated an anniversary at Scott’s and it was very nice. Went to the lounge first for a cocktail. Both the drinks and the staff were wonderful. Attention by servers was excellent. Our food was delicious. We will return! Eating in the lounge is more casual than the main dining room which is nice to have the choice. Ambiance is very nice. We are glad Scott’s is back providing a great option for upscale dining.
