Ce restaurant de fruits de mer de Fisherman's Wharf est ancré dans une tradition familiale de qualité et de service. Toujours détenu et géré par la même famille, le Scoma's a ouvert en 1965, lorsque les frères Al et Joe Scoma ont repris un café de six tables servant les pêcheurs sur le quai. Utilisant le livre de recettes de leur mère, les frères Scoma ont réussi à faire évoluer leur petit café au fil des années d'en faire la destination gastronomique par excellence de San Francisco qu'il est aujourd'hui.

Classic San Francisco restaurant. Wonderful ambiance & better food & drink. My only comment is people dress too causal, too sloppy for such a classy place. Dress up people! T- shirts & Shorts don’t work.

Scoma’s used to be one of my favorite SF restaurants, but I was somewhat disappointed in the lack of meat options. Only one meat choice on the menu and they didn’t even offer a seafood combo to go with the filet. More meat options along with their seafood would bring me back.

On s’attendait à faire un repas de dingue, c’était bon mais rien d’extraordinaire. Le service est trop rapide, pas le temps de prendre le temps de manger tranquillement

We had an excellent meal here, great service throughout and staff were very friendly. I had the Lazy Man’s Cioppini which was to die for. My wife is a light eater so she had crab cocktail with a tomato and mozzarella salad but we asked to have this all come up at the same time which it did. Good selection of wines by the glass which, again suits us as we have different wine tastes. Very relaxed and laid back feel but everything worked like clockwork. Would go back tomorrow. Thanks to everyone involved.

The clam chowder was to die for...delicious. The Ceasar salad was also very good. The Gulf Shrimp Lumachini...nothing to write home about....disappointing...not very flavorful. We will go back for the clam chowder!

Best seafood restaurant in SF Fisherman's Wharf area! Our waiter Shawn was outstanding and made the dining experience awesome. Shawn has been working at Scoma's for 28 years and he is fantastic. They seated us in the "Sports Room" with vintage SF 49ers and Giants photos on the walls, is there anything better than that? :) The food was excellent and definitely recommend the linguini with clams, the Scoma's crab Louie, and the halibut. Second to none for the best seafood in SF.

My first thought on being seated was that the tables are extremely close together. Less space than I have ever experienced and I'm 59 years of age. Its as if every square inch is crammed for maximum profit. Not really comfortable for us. The service was very prompt and menu well explained. However, our main course arrived before we had finished our starters. We felt rushed and hurried although it was after 9pm. The food we had was very good, flavoursome and well presented. Our server took great pains to explain the gratuity system and the tax situation etc. Overall the experience was very mediocre and I would not return.

Recommended by friend - not disappointed superb food best crab cakes ever tasted . Husband said best fish and chips ever and that is from someone who is used to lifelong fish and chips in Scotland ! Service exceptional , Heather great waitress . Wine on tap unusual but excellent quality . Highly recommend going with no hesitation . Lovely ambience to place with class .
