schoolhouse is an Italian influenced restaurant and beach takeaway located on the stunning Fleet Estate, just a few minutes walk from the sea. We offer a range of food to suit everyone, from artisan sourdough pizzas to sustainable seasonal dishes. All our produce is procured locally, support our local farmers from the surrounding estates.

Nice stop for lunch after a walk on a warm and sunny day. Food was excellent, bread board to start, crab linguine and affogato for dessert washed down by a lovely Sicilian rose wine. Service from the waitress who had time and personality to engage with all customers was exceptional. Well done all.

Food was amazing, so were the staff but he warned they make you pay 6quid(!) to park in the only car park available. I don't think the car park is associated with the schoolhouse but was absolutely not expecting that

Tasty well prepared food but expensive for what it is. Even the locals say it is overpriced which says a lot

On reflection, I would recommend sitting in the courtyard. We chose inside because there was a cool wind blowing, however we ended up in the seat by the door (which was pretty cold) on a shared table with an older couple who were not up for talking. If we'd had the choice, we would have moved outside to where the atmosphere was good.

Lovely service from smiley waitress but she was on her own so we waited a long time for drinks. Food nice and atmosphere very good with great playlist. I’d like to have seen another main course fish dish (aside of pasta).
