The SCHOFIELD'S BAR story
With over 25 years of experience collectively, bartender brothers Joe and Daniel Schofield always had a vision to return to their home city of Manchester to open their eponymous venue;
SCHOFIELD’S BAR.

SCHOFIELD’S BAR graces the corner of Sunlight House, one of the most iconic buildings in the north of England.

The art deco masterpiece of architect Joseph Sunlight was the tallest building in Manchester upon completion during the 1930s, a decade of great importance for cocktail culture. An era of grand and luxurious bars, known for their hospitality and classic cocktails.

Please note that we are only able to accept a handful of reservations each day as we are a walk-in led venue so please do not be put off visiting us if you are unable to reserve. All reservations are only guaranteed 2 hours at the table.

When you’re in a bar where cocktails are nothing special, only classics, the waiters or bartenders or mixologists are everything. And everything was good until two clients became the favorite people in the bar and the center of attention. The first barman took me (solo drinker) into consideration but the next one just kept offering the two other customers free drinks while they were chatting with all other male customers it almost felt on purpose. On my side, I was taken even the menu away while waiting for service, I felt very unwelcome and had to leave early.

Another great visit to Schofields. A birthday celebration for my friend which was greeted with a complimentary glass of fizz. The bar staff are super attentive, making cocktails to order, off menu. Going above and beyond to accommodate us when running late and also helped with a broken shoe! Friendly, amazing and quality cocktails. The olives are also delicious. Thank you to Tom and the other bar tenders who made our visit great. We will return. Thank you. <3

We had a great time at Schofield's - we enjoyed a range of cocktails and some olives, and the service was amazing. Thank you for looking after us for my husband's birthday! Highly recommend for some expertly created cocktails!

To be put simply, it is the best bar and cocktail experience I have ever had. I can see why it has won so many accolades and it deserves every bit of praise it gets. I travelled from Essex just to visit and I can’t wait to visit again. The staff made us feel constantly seen and cared for. This attention to detail made the experience so brilliant. The cocktails looked picturesque and tasted gorgeous too! Thank you Schofields’s Bar

Didn’t eat so food rating not applicable. Staff here are absolutely wonderful. Gorgeous cocktails. We went early so very quiet
