Schnitzel Platz in Glendale Heights is perhaps one of the most lively and entertaining eateries throughout the area and is known for hosting many events and is special enough to help ring in the holidays. In fact, Schnitzel Platz will often feature a special menu that has items only available throughout select times of the year. There are, of course, plenty of consistent favorites you will find too.

Some consistent menu items include the Kaiser in the neighborhood, whole suckling pig, Deutsche Haus platte, schweine braten and the sauerbraten. Make sure you also try the many schnitzels, of course, like the pork schnitzel, weiner schnitzel or the jager schnitzel. Schnitzel Platz also offers a kid’s menu that makes this restaurant a family-friendly place to go. and don't forget to come in and enjoy some authentic German polka music on weekends and our great selections of German bier imported from Germany!

    Although the food is unexceptional, it is a relatively good value for the dollar. We are disappointed that there are no daily specials, unlike in the past, and no bread is provided. Our server was good, but we felt rushed even though the restaurant was not totally full. The noise level is very high when the musician is playing. He is ok, but I miss the old days of Bob and Hank.

    Corey was our waitress, and she was wonderful. She had worked a full shift by the time we were served, and she still had great energy and a wonderful sense of humor. Food was fantastic, like always, but she made the meal even better. Thank you Schnitzel Platz for a happy Father's Day!

    As ever, service was a bit slow and it was really hot in there, like sweaty hot. But, the one-man band was playing and we had giant beers and it was a great time -- Schnitzel Platz is one of a kind and worth the wait.

    Although the food was really good, our table servicer was not. Had to wave him down to order our food. Then he didn’t bring everything out. After that we saw him chitchatting at the hostess table and standing around. Again had to wave him down for more ice tea he forgot to bring and togo boxes and a check. It took forever. Clearly he did not know how to do his job

    Schnitzel Platz is one of our favorite places to bring our German family and friends to enjoy some great German favorites. The food, service and music are always top notch.

    We were 10 minutes late and host was going to cancel our reservation and report us to open table despite the restaurant not being crowded. Luckily we arrived just in time
