Our server Ryan was great and went out of his way to make our anniversary dinner special with glasses of bubbly for our toast. Unfortunately, the rest of our experience did not live up to the start. Italian restaurants should be masters of pasta. That was not our experience. My gnocchi was undercooked and my husband’s was overcooked. We left without finishing our meal and went to another restaurant.

The view is incredible! Our dinner was also great, my husband loved everything. I was confused by the polenta I ordered and it arrived different t than what I was use to so they immediately took it back without question. I would recommend a must if in Rittenhouse.

We had great arugula/fig salad and wonderful pasta. The pasta with spare rib is just an outstanding dish. The one with lobster only just a very little bit less so. The gelatto was good, but Fiero in north Philly is better. Service was delightful -- added to a great dinner in terms of recommendations, just enough attention, and participation. We were looking for, and found, a quiet, wonderful dinner where we could enjoy each other's company. The view over Rittenhouse Square just added to a great dinner. Thanks.

We fine here regularly and especially enjoy the beet salad and agnolotti.

Staff was great! Attentive! I had salmon which was undercooked and really not edible except around the edges. I am not someone who complains about food served to me. In retrospect I should have specified that I wanted it prepared medium cooked but serving salmon rare is unusual. I am accustomed to going to the better restaurants in the areas I live (NY metro and Boston) and this has never happened before. Other foods served were great.

This was our second time dining here and definitely won’t be our last. The bread basket with spread options was a wonderful intro to our meal. We loved the beet appetizer and the agnolotti. We shared a fish entree. We had no room for dessert.

I’ve been wanting to try Scarpetta for awhile now. We had reservations for restaurant week but had to cancel, so I was especially excited about finally getting here. I don’t know where to begin because everything was fabulous. The drinks were on point. The focaccia… oh the focaccia. Delish. I broke my “always order the burrata” rule because I wanted to try the octopus since you can’t get it everywhere and it has to be cooked just right to be good. It was perfect and a great way to begin the meal. The pastas are all homemade and incredibly delicious. We had the tortellini and the gnocchi and they literally melted in your mouth. We also had the scallops and the NY strip and each was cooked properly and an explosion of taste. Though we were stuffed, it was my birthday dinner, so dessert was a must. That was fabulous as well. They wrote Happy Birthday on the plate and even though I tried to prevent the singing, my boyfriend insisted and the staff sweetly complied. Sal was our waiter and he made the evening very special and enjoyable. We also loved Seamus at the valet station. Well done Rittenhouse and Scarpetta! I will absolutely return.
