This was my third visit to the Scarlet Knife but my first visit for dinner. The food, ambiance, cocktails, and service are were all on point. I highly recommend it.

This was my third visit to the Scarlet Knife, but this past Wednesday I took my friend who hadn’t eaten there before. She loved it! We had such a nice time talking at our lovely table. She noticed that it was relatively quiet even though many patrons were present. We talked about the openness of the dining room and the high partitions surrounding each table as contributing factors to the quiet. Our food was delicious and beautifully prepared. I had the roast chicken and she the halibut. We each started our meals with an amazing mushroom onion soup. Our server was just lovely and could not have been more accommodating. We are grateful for our wonderful time at the Scarlet Knife!

Ambience is very nice. I ordered the scallops and white Mexican shrimp. I would be embarrassed for $42 to serve two scallops and two shrimp (16/20?). The shrimp was over cooked and rubbery. They were in a romanesco (pepper) sauce with shishito peppers which seemed harsh for the delicate scallops. Bread basket with herb butter came while we were waiting for dinner which was plentiful and good.

Severely overpriced. Manhattan prices in Albany, NY. My $42 dish contained 3 shrimp and 3 scallops. You can find better food at 1/3 the price elsewhere. Beautiful venue , but not worth the expenditure.

Over was a great experience, oysters and entrees were great. Side of Brussels seemed a bit over cooked. Over all good experience, will return in the future with friends.

The brunch was excellent, we started by sharing a custom cheese board then each had an entree. Carla our server was friendly and attentive, and gave helpful advice when we asked her. We planned to share a crème brûlée waffle which was awesome on a prior visit but it wasn’t offered the day we came back. The lobster scramble and eggs Benedict were delicious. This is an upscale spot for brunch, dinner, or cocktails, appetizers, and dessert.

WOW JUST WOW! What a GEM, We went for Sunday Brunch and the service from our waitress Peyton was EXCELLENT. The food choices were AMAZING, and the taste was great. On the day we were there they had live music which was enjoyable and not overpowering.. We could see around the restaurant how everyone was doing their work with excellence and attention to detail (even the teen age boys that were clearing & setting tables). Did I mention the Dessert Room???? Well words can't describe it, you have to experience it for yourself. My wife and I can't wait for our next visit.

The food was excellent. The lobster mussels and beet buratta were tasty appetizers and the lamb and halibut were enjoyable entrees. There were a few mix-ups on the drinks but the manager and staff made things right. Danielle M is a great waitress and spaced out the food so we had a leisurely meal. Will definitely go again.
