Known for their award winning craft cocktails, scratch made food & hidden gem of a back patio, Savoy Taproom is an approachable, upscale bar and restaurant located on Lark Street in the heart of Albany’s Center Square neighborhood. First established in 1936, the storied and historic Savoy reopened in early 2016. Their American gastropub food menu features a variety of pub fare favorites and exquisitely prepared entrees including a wealth of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. Starting April 1st, The kitchen is open Monday through Friday from 5pm to 11pm, and Saturday and Sunday noon to 11pm. The restaurant has two outdoor patios and a private dining room.

We got burgers, fries, a beer, and a hot Toddy. Food was amazing, we sat out by the fire pit on a cool autumn night. Would absolutely come back.

We enjoyed the seasonal spirits and beer on tap. Savoy has a great atmosphere, perfect for unwinding and tucking in for a good meal. Thanks !

We love Savoy Taproom!! We always make a point to stop in for dinner whenever we're in the neighborhood. This is a fantastic gem for gluten free/dietary restriction folks, as there is a dedicated gluten free fryer AND most breaded/fried items are breaded in non-gluten containing batters! This is one of the only places I can get a fried chicken sandwich, fries, fried cheese curds, etc. since I've gone gluten free. Further, the craft cocktails are exquisite, the staff knowledgeable, accommodating, and kind, and the ambience great for evening/weekend dining. I can't think of a more perfect place to celebrate date night, get togethers with close friends, or any special occasions.

Fun casual place to celebrate a special occasion. Service was outstanding! Started with drinks and chicken wings, wings were the best we have had. Street corn pasta and fried chicken sandwiches were delicious. All the food we saw go by looked great can't wait to go back and try something else!

It was our second time at Savoy before a show at Lark Hall and the food was great. Sara, our server was awesome, and we had at both visits was lovely! Will continue to return! The Steak Salad was the best salad I have had in a long time!

My family of 4 came here after a show Sunday. My 16 and 11 year old are used to dining in nicer places so they are by no means “little kids”. The whole scene was unimpressive and not family appropriate. Walking in, we noticed a funky smell like old beer and musty-like. The host was seated at the bar. We were seated with no silverware, had to ask for cocktail napkins and never got them, wait staff got the job done but nothing extra - didn’t check on us until we were about finished. Too bad because she could’ve sold my husband another Mule. My burrata was delicious, and the meatloaf and Mac that my husband got was great. Kids got Caesar wraps with fries and liked them. Food was good. While eating we overheard several staff members curse loudly, even from the kitchen we could hear the F word at our table. I understand this isn’t marketed as a family place but we should be able to have nice food and a cocktail with our kids without having to worry about these things. Just unprofessional top to bottom. But the food was good.
