Built in 1867, Satchmo's Corner sits in a wonderful old building in the market town of Rugby, famous for the game, Rugby School and for being
The Gateway to the Midlands.
Satchmo's Corner represents all one wants to enjoy in a restaurant, one might say. Take some time out of your day to slow down and relax in the epitome of comfort, in our soft lounge area or more formally at the table where you will be served food from our menus of modern British cuisine,
whether breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or evening meal all of which are cooked in-house by our amazing Chef's, who prepare, cook and serve
fresh food daily, Tuesday to Sunday.
Starting with an array of delicious choices.
Breakfast with an array of options is served 9am - 12pm, and our luncheon menu, from 12pm - 6pm.
Satchmo’s would not be complete if we didn’t offer our quintessentially English afternoon teas which are served 1pm – 4pm and followed by
dinner at 5pm.

Plain scones and raisins scones with clotted cream and jam 4 different deserts (every day are different deserts,) Afternoon Tea £23 per person Prosecco Afternoon Tea which is £29.95 per person Pimm's Afternoon Tea which is £28.95 or Cream Tea which is £15.95 ( and it's only scones clotted cream and jam)

    My wife and I had a lovely date/dinner in the restaurant. Service was great. My wife has milk intolerance and whenever we let the staff know, the Manager came over and help us with our enquiry. We’ve been looked after very well. The food was very tasty, well presented, fine dinning like. We had a couple of cocktails and after the dinner we finished them very well presented sitting/cocktail area.

    The waiter did his best but there was a complete cock-up with our order, three meals came but there was no explanation for the lack of the other one until my wife went to the kitchen to enquire, only then (we three had nearly finished our food) we were informed that my wife’s meal hadn’t been cooked properly and they were having to cook another one. As you can appreciate this upset the whole evening, had we observed proper etiquette ( by waiting for everyone to be served before starting) all food would have been ruined.

    The sharing ploughman’s platter was disappointing. Mainly Stilton cheese and quantity poor. The other meals were ok.

    A fresh new restaurant in Rugby with a good atmosphere, excellent food and drink and good overall service. Particularly nice is the area at the rear of the restaurant which you can retreat to after your main meal to have a relaxing coffee with your dessert. There are no 2nd sittings so you are not rushed out of the door after your meal. This is somewhere that I shall definitely visit again.
