Built in 1867, Satchmo's Corner sits in a wonderful old building in the market town of Rugby, famous for the game, Rugby School and for being
The Gateway to the Midlands.
Satchmo's Corner represents all one wants to enjoy in a restaurant, one might say. Take some time out of your day to slow down and relax in the epitome of comfort, in our soft lounge area or more formally at the table where you will be served food from our menus of modern British cuisine,
whether breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or evening meal all of which are cooked in-house by our amazing Chef's, who prepare, cook and serve
fresh food daily, Tuesday to Sunday.
Starting with an array of delicious choices.
Breakfast with an array of options is served 9am - 12pm, and our luncheon menu, from 12pm - 6pm.
Satchmo’s would not be complete if we didn’t offer our quintessentially English afternoon teas which are served 1pm – 4pm and followed by
dinner at 5pm.

Plain scones and raisins scones with clotted cream and jam 4 different deserts (every day are different deserts,) Afternoon Tea £23 per person Prosecco Afternoon Tea which is £29.95 per person Pimm's Afternoon Tea which is £28.95 or Cream Tea which is £15.95 ( and it's only scones clotted cream and jam)

    The service is great with such delightful staff, friendly owners and a great selection of food that isn’t rushed. Freshly made dishes, prepared and presented to a high standard. The atmosphere is bright and airy with a lovely cocktail/lounge area.

    When arriving had to walk to the bar as staff were to busy talking to one another , not sure if the guy spoke English as he hardly said anything .Also put that it was my partners birthday no best wishes or any effort made . The food just had a weird taste the scallops tasted the same as the chicken , which unfortunately repeated on me all night .No one came to the table to see whether the food was ok . Generally a poor experience as the place itself is beautifully decorated.Disappointed.

    Great ambience, friendly staff and the food was very good but service was a bit patchy (4 different serving staff who didn’t seem to know who had done what) and pretty slow. An error on our bill (we were under charged and honest enough to point it out) took ages to rectify. We had a great evening but it could have been better.

    We were welcomed into the restaurant and shown to our table. Our youngest member - nearly 2 - was shown a selection of toys and we found it difficult to separate him from two horses! A wonderful meal - we all had different starters and were all so impressed. And then the main course - again, tasty, balanced and brilliantly presented. While the youngest member enjoyed macaroni cheese and couldn't have enough of it! Thank you - we will be back!

    I’ve been to Satchmo’s a few times now - lip-smackingly great food, excellent service - the team make you feel very special, fabulous ambiance- and the cocktails are delicious - can highly recommend

    Warm welcome from the friendly attentative staff. Lovely decor and atmosphere. The menu had some different choices of meals plus some of the usuals. Good presentation of food and the ribeye steak was so good . Will definitely be going back.

    Lovely relaxed surroundings with a touch of glamour. Turine as a starter looked and tasted great. Followed with the plaice on the bone with caper sauce which was delicious, didn't need a side. Service was very good with charm. Will visit again. Good value.

    Lovely decor, nice atmosphere. Took a while to take a drinks order, but it was busy. Bit of a laugh my husband asked for larger, which they said we don't do, but you can have a bottle of Moretti ! Which is larger. A little pretentious. We ordered cote de boeuf. They said it would take at least 30 mins, which was fine. It came with lovely crispy chips, roasted garlic, fabulous red wine sauce, cooked to perfection. Really tastey, seasoned and very garlicky.
