Built in 1867, Satchmo's Corner sits in a wonderful old building in the market town of Rugby, famous for the game, Rugby School and for being
The Gateway to the Midlands.
Satchmo's Corner represents all one wants to enjoy in a restaurant, one might say. Take some time out of your day to slow down and relax in the epitome of comfort, in our soft lounge area or more formally at the table where you will be served food from our menus of modern British cuisine,
whether breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or evening meal all of which are cooked in-house by our amazing Chef's, who prepare, cook and serve
fresh food daily, Tuesday to Sunday.
Starting with an array of delicious choices.
Breakfast with an array of options is served 9am - 12pm, and our luncheon menu, from 12pm - 6pm.
Satchmo’s would not be complete if we didn’t offer our quintessentially English afternoon teas which are served 1pm – 4pm and followed by
dinner at 5pm.

Overall We had a very nice meal and the staff and service was very good. My criticism would be that there are no draught Beers and that the main course’s do not come with any accompaniments and are extra and not enough variants .

Fantastic place for our family catch up. Great food. Non intrusive service but remaining attentive. Love it here.

My second visit to Satchmo’s Corner and I was as equally impressed as I was the first time. It was very pleasing to see the restaurant so busy, indeed I saw one party who had to be turned away as they had, presumably, not booked. I had been apprehensive that people in Rugby, who have not been been used to good quality dining experience, would fail to support it. I am delighted that my fears have been disproved.

First time eating here and we were very impressed with the food, service and ambience. We had the crab and scallops for starter and the plaice for our mains - all were delicious and perfectly cooked with lovely flavour. We will definitely be back.

This was our third visit to Sachmo’s, the first time was ok but expensive, the second time was a disaster (three meals served, had to go to the kitchen to get the fourth). We know anyone can have a bad night so I thought it was only fair to try again for my birthday. The starters were fine but, due to the limited menu, my friend and I ordered steaks medium, when they came they were virtually mooing! The waiter offered to take them back but this always makes it awkward for the others so we declined and just ate the tomatoes and chips, the mushrooms were inedible as well. We survived and moved on to desserts which were very tasty. The two steaks were knocked off the bill but I’m afraid the evening was already spoilt.

Found the whole experience excellent. Will be returning. Food was absolutely fantastic, with excellent atmosphere and good value.

We had a fantastic experience at Satchmo’s corner celebrating a birthday. The interior and overall feel is 10/10. I could have spent all day in there. The staff were very accommodating and friendly and the menu was filled with a great range of selection. The food was so rich in taste and presentation. You can tell the staff put their all into it. I would 100% recommend and look forward to returning. Thank you.

From the moment we entered we had excellent service, food was delicious. The wine was excellent. We even met the chef, the restaurant was busy but there was enough staff on duty to cope. Will definitely be back.
