Chef Carta brings the authentic simple elegance of the Sardinian dining tradition to your table. Sardinian cuisine is known for the purity of food and flavors. To insure the authenticity of the dining experience Chef has imported an authentic hood wood-burning oven for the kitchen. The menu is focused on farm fresh and locally grown food. Chargrilled meats and local fish will be cooked in the oven as it is in Sardinia. Taste the Sardinia bread, know as Pane carasau, baked fresh daily which welcomes you at your table. The pasta dough is also made fresh daily. Revel in the authentic Sardinian paella made with fregola and enjoy the unique flavor of bottarga. To maximize the pleasure of sharing good food with good friends, Sardinia has 45 seats- 24 in the main dining room, a chefs table for 10 and 13 seats in the bar area. Good food-good conversation-good friends. A true Sardinia experience you will not forget.

enjoyed our first italian night out in sarasota in this outwardly unassuming restaurant. we had 2 pasta dishes, lasagna and mushroom fettucini. amazing. service was perfect, wine list while not expansive offered a number of potential verticals rarely seen, bit much appreciated. definitely worth trip from main street!

Wonderful gastronomía Had the salted sea bass with a wonderful Sicilian wine. Excellent service John was present but unobtrusive highly recommend

Delicious food and lovely, friendly, professional service. They have also continued the Savor Sarasota summer special menu, which provides a good deal for a three course meal.

First time at Sardinia and will definitely return. Our waiter, Johnny was very attentive and funny. In fact all of the staff was great. Definitely recommend you try this gem of a restaurant.

This restaurant has a great atmosphere and even better food. Great wine list as well. Antonio was our food server and he was terrific. Great personality and great recommendations. This place is a must!

I had been to Sardinia before and it’s always been good. I went with a friend who had never been there and she was delighted with everything. I’d say it’s a favorite restaurant for Italian cuisine.
