Chef Carta brings the authentic simple elegance of the Sardinian dining tradition to your table. Sardinian cuisine is known for the purity of food and flavors. To insure the authenticity of the dining experience Chef has imported an authentic hood wood-burning oven for the kitchen. The menu is focused on farm fresh and locally grown food. Chargrilled meats and local fish will be cooked in the oven as it is in Sardinia. Taste the Sardinia bread, know as Pane carasau, baked fresh daily which welcomes you at your table. The pasta dough is also made fresh daily. Revel in the authentic Sardinian paella made with fregola and enjoy the unique flavor of bottarga. To maximize the pleasure of sharing good food with good friends, Sardinia has 45 seats- 24 in the main dining room, a chefs table for 10 and 13 seats in the bar area. Good food-good conversation-good friends. A true Sardinia experience you will not forget.

This restaurant was a great find. My wife and I were in Sardinia last September. This place was very authentic. Food was typical Sardinian. Wines were paired perfectly with the food. Prices were good. We will return when we come back to Sarasota.

Wonderful from the minute we walked in and were welcomed to the the service, the food, wine and dessert. We always feel so happy when we are there. We love all of you!!

We love this restaurant and the food is great. We have reserved the wine room for a special party. This evening I had Tripletail and it was a bit dry. I did not say anything because the other 3 friends loved their meal and this was the first 4 star meal ever for us. We’ll be back and I’ll tell the chef if this ever occurs again.

First time, Started with the romaine and shrimp salad to share. Husband had linguine with seafood. Generous portion, plenty of seafood. He enjoyed. I had the salt covered bronzino filleted at the table. It was light, moist and delicious. We each had a glass of Paso Robles Cabernet. Jon’s service was excellent. Comfortable padded chairs and pleasant atmosphere, white table cloths. Everything was very fresh. We will be back! Well we came back, this time my husband ordered the veal ravioli. It was very disappointing. Hardly any veal filling mostly pasta squares in an overly rich butter sauce. He was not happy but he doesn’t send orders back unless not cooked correctly. He does not recommend ordering this dish. I ordered the same fish dish. We had Jon again and he’s very attentive. The table next to us had 2 orders of the Veal Chop. It looked delicious. Generous size and not fatty. They seemed to enjoy. It appears to depend on what you order here.

It was our first time at Sardinia. Why did we wait so long?the atmosphere was welcoming not overdone elegant. The service was friendly, professional and very helpful. Finally the food was wonderful with new and delicious flavors that all three of us enjoyed with the suggested wine a fine match to the chosen meals. This was a highly recommended dinner experience.

Overall wonderful dinner shared w friends. The restaurant policy on corkage might be reviewed? Sardinia offers many wines unfamiliar to us, but $40/bottle (and one bottle limit) dissuaded us from bringing high end plonk from our cellar. We’d come more often if we could pour some of our good stuff.

Service was dismissive and inattentive. Antipasto plate was mediocre at best. Sea Bass was excellent but server neglected to state the price of this “special “. Birthday dinner was not acknowledged.
