Chef Carta brings the authentic simple elegance of the Sardinian dining tradition to your table. Sardinian cuisine is known for the purity of food and flavors. To insure the authenticity of the dining experience Chef has imported an authentic hood wood-burning oven for the kitchen. The menu is focused on farm fresh and locally grown food. Chargrilled meats and local fish will be cooked in the oven as it is in Sardinia. Taste the Sardinia bread, know as Pane carasau, baked fresh daily which welcomes you at your table. The pasta dough is also made fresh daily. Revel in the authentic Sardinian paella made with fregola and enjoy the unique flavor of bottarga. To maximize the pleasure of sharing good food with good friends, Sardinia has 45 seats- 24 in the main dining room, a chefs table for 10 and 13 seats in the bar area. We celebrated our anniversary at Sardinia and it was a wonderful experience. It was a slow (Tuesday, rainy) night but that didn't matter for us. We had super pasta dishes and because of the great starters, we could not finish the pastas. We are now enjoying the Sardinia food at home for lunch today.

Vevy nice dinner, service, and setting on Labor Day, but the temperature was just too cold, I had to get sweater out of my car.

The food was excellent - we had several appetizers - the mushrooms with parmesan crisp basket was unique and delicious. We were a party of five, had five different entrees - all perfectly prepared, generous servings, a very good value. I had the salt encrusted Bass - melted in your mouth. You could pay 50% more at some other fine Italian restaurants in Sarasota. My only suggestion for improvement was the pace of service. The restaurant is not large, and it was not completely full, yet the pauses before ordering, before the first food came out and between appetizer and entree were noticeably long. We were seated at 6:30 PM and left the restaurant at 8:30 PM. I don't mind a relaxed dinner where conversation is encouraged, but this was a bit too relaxed a pace. I only mention this so the staff can consider ways to improve because I do plan to come back and do strongly recommend dining at Sardinia.

My wife and I dined with another couple. It was a wonderful dining experience. All the food was delicious with one exception - the veal chop which I ordered. It was very ordinary and far from the best I've ever had but that's just me, you may love it. I would certainly dine here again.

The atmosphere was delightful and it paired beautifully with the delicious dishes we ordered!! It was our first time and certainly not our last . Bellisimo and Ciao!!

Sardinia is consistently good food. Very dependable. Only complaint is its unreasonably high corkage fee $40! and limit to bringing only one bottle of wine without regard to the number of people dining.
