Great food, great drinks, great service, and a beautiful view of Lake Tahoe and the mountains, but a bit on the expensive side.

The waiter was very hurried and rushed us way too much. The pasta was from Coldwater and had no real flavor. The waiter kept telling us that the kitchen could not accommodate any of our requests as far as how we would like our food cooked. Quoting him he said “it comes out as it comes out “

Beautiful restaurant formerly the Forest Restaurant Buffet. It is much different looking now. The view is beautiful.

Made reservations on Open Table and there was a $25 per person reservation charge to have a "view" table. We assumed this $50 charge was nonrefundable if we DID NOT SHOW and would go towards our meal after we dined. However, the charge was just for a SEAT! The restaurant had at least 15 empty tables. Everyone was sitting by a window (the "view" seating). I chatted with few of the diners sitting around us and asked if they had made a reservation and they ALL SAID NO! So, we had to pay $50 to sit, but they just showed up and got a "view" seat! Our reservations were at 6PM. We did not get our food until 7PM! We only ordered two drinks, a salad, and two entrees! We had to leave no later than 7:20 to get to a show we had tickets for at 7:30! The server was nice and constantly explained that they were "busy." I'm assuming it was just understaffed as there were so MANY open available tables there was no way they were "BUSY." We are not going back.

Once we finally got our food no one checked on us. Could have had grated cheese and a coffee refill , ravioli was cold Probably won’t go back

The view from the window of Lake Tahoe around sunset was the best part of this dining experience. The food was good but nothing spectacular. The prices are reasonable. The server was very slow. He was certainly pleasant and friendly but we were there over 2 hours because it took that long to give our order, to wait between courses, and to get the check. In that time, no one ever refilled our water glasses, not even once.
